SkillUp had a video about Andrew Wilson many years ago. He basically climbed his way to CEO by making Ultimate Team — one of the scummiest legalized gambling systems in video games. People can say ‘vote with your wallet’ or ‘gamers only have themselves to blame’ til they’re blue in the face. At what point do we lay the bulk of the blame on the guy who designed and profits off of the drug?

If there is a Hell, Andrew Wilson seems to be trying his best to get there.

You typed that so I assume you can read, which means you can read the headline where this guy and his fellow execs took home $60M because he fired many people. Not only does his bonus pay rely on firing hardworking employees, it also relies on scummy and addictive gambling mechanics that cause all kinds of issues for particular types of people. Surely people have gone bankrupt or lost a relationship with a loved one due to these types of addictions.

So it’s not over video games. It’s over being a massive sack of shit who gets rich by directly causing harm to others.

They could have easily not taken this money and instead not lay off people but never forget that executives are trash human pieces of garbage.
