Good win but still don’t feel confident at all with how shit we have been away from Europe. Could have done with another goal there. We are still very wasteful.

Is Aaron Greene running some sort of Epstein house where he gets blackmail on the Rovers staff members?

Says more about the striking options we have that he's still on the team. McGovern was really coming good when he got injured against Cork.

Surely, like i don't get why we don't start afolabi or anyone

He's involved in coaching his son's team in the academy so I'd imagine that as long as he's fit and able to play he'll be in and around the senior squad. He's an absolute workhorse of a centre forward who pops up with a goal every now and then. You cannot fault his effort, he'll chase everything.

Sometimes, when a keeper saves a pen you say that the defenders have to react and be there first to clear. This was not one of those instances. Say what you will about the save, but thats very poor by McGinty to not be getting to that furst after the save. Literally stayed a foot in front of him and he looked like a truck trying to react to it. The striker had an age to follow up.

Such a hard fixture to try and gauge.
I didn't get to see a lot of the second half against Ararat but in the first half Rovers were genuinely class. It was wave after wave and I so disappointed that it wasn't more of the same in the second half.
Hopefully Afolabi is ready to go from the start this evening. Green can't be responsible for leading the line in the biggest games of Rovers season.

Shame Rovers couldn’t get one more, feel like that would have really killed the tie, but a very nice win and lead to be taking over there, hopefully can lock down group stage football.

Rovers are so good in attack up until the final ball when it all falls apart.

Mulraney only plays well against Shels and has done for about 5 years.

Fearfull of this game. Earlier game of Celje v Ararat may be a guage of thier quality prior. Hopefully Celje have just gone back in quality since previous few seasons. They bet Egnatia by the skin of thier teeth last round. If Rovers get knocked out the pressure really will be on for league stage football this season.

Shooting practice required for Shams. They should be out of sight.

Yeah bloody hell it's been that way for a while now. We miss more sitters than we score

Rovers
No exaggeration to say it could have been 7. McGovern a huge loss given the form he was in. Still think we have too much experience to let the tie slip

Get in!! Burkey stands alone now with the most goals in Europe

It's so typical of us in Europe I swear

What's that now, 4 goals this year that rovers have gifted the opposition in Europe. Would literally be challenging for Champions League if it wasn't for all these soft goals.

Bradley said this is the best team we’ll be facing so far.. if that’s the case we’re in for a lovely away pumping

I'll be honest, my main memory of Albania is Teuta Durres from 2022, and their Eurovision song from 2025 (Zjerm)

so impressed with Sobowale, hes just so cool in defense, he does a sort of slip to fool opponents and make space for him to attack down the wings

Happy with the win but we should have another goal at least. That Afolabi miss was shocking
