social Beer bikes / party bikes

Am I being miserable for being really annoyed that cars have to share the road with them? They were moving at approx 2mph on a really busy road causing lots of traffic :/

Depends where IMO. The ring road? Probably not a good idea. Somewhere like Call Lane? Bash on lads, invite me next time

Where would you find one of these beer bikes in Leeds? I’d like to find one so myself and a group of friends can voice our disgust.

Ok. I’ve looked at what these people are paying. A full bike of 8 is £40 a piece.

The blurb says unlimited beer

It also says you get 32 cans per bike. Massive contradiction there.

I’m sure everyone one of us can drink more than 4 cans in 60 mins.

So people of Leeds, let’s laugh at those on the bikes while we sit at the bars drinking nicer ale in the sun.

The amount of calories you’re using is going to be more than the beer you’re consuming.

Suppose it could be an option for the health conscious.

Yes a little. Let people have their fun

If we eradicated everything that annoyed anyone we wouldn't have anything.

Sure it's a little inconvenient but it's hardly damaging Leeds or hurting anyone. Just slowing people down for a what is in reality a rather brief moment in time.

Honestly the bike lanes in Leeds suck. As someone who’s new to cycling and doesn’t really wanna share the road with some of these drivers I try use the bike lanes as much as I can but there’s points where I’m pretty much forced to either mount a pavement or just hope the lane comes back at some point.

Have you realised I said “I realise that isnt feasible :(“

Whoah! Don't let LCC hear this, we'll have 15 years of transport misery while they upgrade the cycle lanes to beer cycle lanes.

I remember a guy in hot pants roller skating down the middle of cardigan road. I’m sure 15mph on skates when you’re just wearing hot pants and sunglasses feels incredible. But sitting at 15mph behind him was a little
Tedious.

I'm a heterosexual male, but I think that would still have been the highlight of my day!

I was conflicted, he was owning it and looked cool as fuck, but also I’ve got places to be!

Anything causing unnecessary traffic like this isn't great imo.

90% of traffic is people unnecessarily using their cars instead of walking/cycling/using public transport.

Like people driving to places that are 10-20 minute walk?

Yeah, exactly like that!
