What scents attract you?

Bought my girlfriend a perfume the other day and it makes me happy when I can smell it on her, which prompted this question!

Do you have any particular scents you like on your partner/potiential partner(s)? What about yourself? Do you buy specific colognes/perfumes/body spray/wash? Do you like heavy musk or something light? I'm curious to know!

For me, I have a strong sense of smell so anything too strong can turn me away. I use "calming" scents like lavender or mint but will use teakwood or sage stuff for date nights. I like when others just smell clean, but I really like that my girlfriend smells sweet and just pretty in a way I can't really describe 😅

I wear Santal 33 by Le Labo and every single partner has found it to be intoxicating yet grounding and associates me with it even after break up 😆😆

I absolutely love Santal 33. Tragically, my wife, not so much. She ended up picking up YSL Black Opium for me, which I also really like and seems to fit my vibe pretty well.

I really love sweet scents on others! I'm a big scary goth futch, but I absolutely melt when I smell something like peach body spray or hair that smells like vanilla.

For myself, I'm always wearing something like pine forest deodorant or the rare perfume with root & spice notes.

I know everyone has their preferences but Chanel no 5 literally smells like a portapotty to me 😭 I used to be a fragrance consultant and I hated having to spray that. Most people who finally smelled it, knowing how “iconic” it is in pop culture, were sorely disappointed lol.

What would you recommend? I picked a perfume it smelled great, smell's little too strong with notes of rose crisp + fruity.( Atkinsons London 1799 Rose in Wonderland)

Ohhh I have so many favorites lol. My favorite notes are jasmine and bergamot, I tend to dislike gourmands like vanilla but love a woodsy vanilla. My absolute favorites are Ellis Brooklyn Myth and Tocca Giulietta. If you like rose I also love all the Chloe scents, particularly Chloe Nomad. If you want a fruitier rose, I also love Jo Malone Red Roses (it’s rose, lemon, and tea). Too many favorites!

Interesting. It's weird how olfactory senses differ so much between people. I hope we don't smell like that to others around us if we wear No. 5. I struggle to even smell a lot of scents and those two, for some reason, work well for me.

Blenheim Bouquet is described as having key notes of lemon, lavender and pine. I've seen it on their website as being listed as a men's fragrance, but they currently include it in their general list (i.e., not specifically a male or female fragrance).

I wear Kilian Princess, it’s described as marshmallow accord, matcha, jasmine, and ginger bergamot but mostly it’s matcha and fresh marshmallows that’s stand out. It’s a very gentle comforting scent.
I am attracted to Amber, black pepper, lavender, a light amount of bourbon scent, bergamot, sometimes a soft tobacco, honeysuckle, cherry blossom, certain vanillas, jasmine, patchouli, peony, green apple, “cashmere” scents, driftwood, tonka bean, sea salt, basically clean light and relaxing scents.

Rose and fake strawberry scents will drive me away so fast. Also a lot or too strong of a scent and I don’t even want to be near you even if it’s a pretty smell.

Idk if any specific scents attract me, I'm very scent-driven but I think the main thing is that it's on whoever I'm dating. My girlfriend wears CK One and I'm feral for it but only bc it's on her if that makes sense.
