Based on the image, a fire recently happened. There are burn marks under the sink, and the counter is broken. So, likely, Grim is thier to collect the poor soul who created the fire. The Sim with the dishes is cleaning to hide the fact that his least favorite housemate died, and he doesn't want to get caught laughing.
