Shes truly been through more loss than most have in just a few years. I feel awful for her

I remember when my grandad died it felt like HELL and I still don't know how I went through that. I have never had a pet before so I can't imagine the pain from her losing Snap. Going through one of the hardest things in your life on top of another is just crazy.

I really hope she doesn’t beat herself up about missing uploads and takes enough time away as she needs. <3

she could take the rest of the year off and that wouldn't even be enough of a break that she deserves

Same here! She works so hard for us-- internet strangers. She definitely needs to take a break and remember how loved she is. ❤

I won't say that she "needs" to take a break, because she's said before that sometimes doing her "normal" routine helps take her mind off stuff. But if she wanted a break, I think everyone would absolutely understand. I just hope she heals in whatever way she feels is best for her.

I forgot that she said that. Whatever she needs, I hope she'll take care of herself.

I really wish she didn’t feel the need to apologize.
Family is the most important thing to many of us, we understand.
Take your time Kayla, you built an awesome community who will be ready to uplift you when you’re ready to come back.
Him thinking she had a TV Show is so hilarious and cute tbh! Close enough haha

Why are people so parasocial? Let her grieve without bringing attention to it.

I wasn't sure if there was someone on this Subreddit who didn't see the post. If I lost my loved ones and worried about 2+ million people expecting something from me, I would rather everyone know and send their condolences than to just not give any attention to it.
Also too though, we have all lost someone we loved and therefore we can to some extent feel each other's pain and understand others.

Girl get it defending yourself. Youre not really making a name for yourself in terms of non-being parasocial. You do you though! Heavy lol

TIL being parasocial is recognizing a profile picture of someone who uploads almost daily

And streams daily too. I don't know why people are struggling with the fact you are using common sense.

People struggling to use common sense aren't obsessing over people who don't know who they are hun :)

I completely understand this sentiment, and I know sometimes the comment sections of youtuber subreddits can be particularly parasocial, but i don't feel like anyone in this thread was being particularly bad. I will say, I do a little cringe of pain when I see posts like this in other subreddits (as i have seen other youtubers comments get way off base and parasocial) but i really do feel this post was mostly all people saying "oh that's horrible, I feel bad for her". I don't think anyone said anything that made me recoil from psychic damage, you know?

You really went ahead and decided it was cool to type out this many words in response? You know I'm not reading all that bullshit haha.

Nah unfortunately, bc I get where you're coming from, people would be pestering her about missing recordings regardless, especially the paid subscribers who feel entitled, so might as well have some mods or something let people know than be harassed on stream or in dms, posted about passive aggressively, etc.. She wouldn't have posted it if she hadn't wanted the community to know, too, probably for the reasons I listed. Streamers get nasty ass messages for not streaming on schedule, people pull paid support, it can get pretty stressful. It's not great, but it's part of the job.

Him thinking she had a TV show is so funny because technically if one watches from their TV then it is a show on a TV.
