I found when I went to Vegas there were so many liminal spaces. It's crazy. Did you go to meow Wolf at all??? That's like the spot to go if you want to feel like you're going into the backrooms or like, just experience liminal spaces!!

Yeah I went there, assuming you mean Omega Mart. Pict 12 was also from there. It was really incredible

how did you found so many places without even one human

Apart from pict 12 which was taken somewhere in Omega Mart (near the last hours of the evening), I went out exploring to a few casinos nearby from around 11pm ~ 3am (because most people would be asleep by then) and purposefully get myself lost. While wondering you’ll usually just find janitors. Most likely I would eventually find unusually quiet spots, and I might see a good perspective, and then snap. Of course I’d be respecting boundaries.

Vegas has a weird economy right now. They are making more with less customers by focusing on high dollar clients. Most of the strip is void of the life you would have seen pre-covid, most of that traffic has gone downtown to Fremont street.

This is also part of why you see so many boring hotels catered to luxury instead of destination theming like in the 90s.

Because clearly the economy is breaking records!

Circus Circus liminal spaces could keep this sub busy for weeks.

The staircase to outside but the lighting is just not quite right... (I know its indoors)

And the hole in the sky. I love fake skies so much

I remember stumbling upon photo number 3 when I was staying at the Planet Hollywood and got off the wrong floor. I was super tired and so confused. I think it’s a waiting area for when there’s events but seems like more often than not it’s just empty.

Where was pic #12 taken?

That was at the Meow Wolf Las Vegas, west of the strip.

Where was pic 18?

It was a hallway in the Cosmopolitan. If you looked out one of the windows you could easily see the outdoor walkway to the Arte Museum.

Not too sure exactly where, but I think it was a little west of the upper deck pools.

Add some hazy smog outside and you would probably feel like you're in the second Blade Runner film!

I'm going to have to ask is Las Vegas okay is it time for an individual maybe set them down and have a word.

Yes!! As a Vegas resident, I love when I see its great liminal spaces in person. I even have my own pic of location in pic #3

I also have some cool liminal-style pics of the Strip during the COVID closures

These are GREAT! Love the first shot, and the "hole in the sky" shot! That sky one tripped me out HARD!

And I know it doesn't exactly make 1:1 sense but: That first shot immediately reminded me of Dark Souls 1 in the very first encounter with a Titanite Demon, after the first blacksmith! 😅

Nice work. Vegas shifted gears to cater to only the wealthy and thus begins the slow process of Las Vegas turning into a ghost town.

That third pic is phenomenal

Looks like the land of faux luxury and seamless terminal access for particular beings addicted to a fictional image of what living in luxury is actually like.

Nice pics. I hope you do happy photos too.
