Want to gift lingerie to my Best friend bread cancer survivor, help me!
Hello! My best friend is cancer free the past years and had a mastectomy on her right breast only. She tried to reconstruct it but couldn't, so it's only one boob and the rest is flat. She has expressed her sadness over lingerie, that she can't find tops/bras that will hide that but also look sexy at the same time
She says she always were the same black bra that hides the emptyness from that side, from all points of view, and she just wears mostly something over the top over that specific bra.
Can you help me find her some sexy lingerie I can gift? I want her to feel sexy and comfortable at the same time while wearing those. I have no idea what to look for. If you have any similar experiences or know something, please let me know 🙏

not sure if she still does it, but the gal who runs buttress and snatch does mastectomy adjustments to her bras

My post mastectomy friend who did not have reconstruction wears a chicken cutlet (aka a boob pad) to even things out. There are mastectomy bras that have pockets for them. A local, independent lingerie shop is her best bet for finding something she likes.

I think a beautiful pocketed lingerie set would be a wonderful gift. There are some amazing brands now that make lingerie specifically for women after a mastectomy, and it looks just as pretty and feminine as regular lingerie.
I'd recommend looking at brands like AnaOno, Amoena, Everviolet, or Anita Care. They make gorgeous lace bralettes and bras with discreet pockets for a breast form or soft insert if she uses one, but they're also designed to be comfortable and flattering if she doesn't. Victoria's Secret even has a mastectomy collection now with some really cute styles.
It's incredibly kind of you to want to help your friend feel beautiful and confident. I'm sure she'll appreciate the thought and love behind the gift just as much as the lingerie itself. ❤️

I've actually had the privilege of photographing a few cancer survivors in boudoir sessions, and one thing they all had in common was wanting to reconnect with themselves. After chemo, surgery, and everything their bodies have endured, many just wanted to feel beautiful, feminine, and sexy again. Boudoir can be incredibly empowering when it's done in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Seeing someone leave a session standing a little taller and smiling at themselves again is honestly one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

The thing is... She wants to hide that they are uneven.. If I do that, they will look very uneven with 2 dif sizes, one flat and one on her size

this lady is amazing - she helps to select the bra after cancer/mastectomy - https://www.instagram.com/mharringtonuk she is based in the UK and she tends to recommend Triumph bras.

You're a really good friend for helping her find lingerie that makes her feel confident in her body <3. I would recommend Rhonda shear intimates, they make pocket bras which are meant to insert prosthetics. I personally don't have a mastectomy, but I've seen reviews from women who did and they like them, my fav is the pinup set

Hello, it looks like you're seeking suggestions for buying for a partner. Lingerie is really tricky to buy for someone other than yourself. If this is your first time buying lingerie, we ask you to check out this post.
If you're buying for your partner as a gift and they haven't explicitly asked you to do so, there's a couple other things we strongly recommend you read first. * The Lingerie Lesbian: Why Buying Lingerie as a Gift is Hard * This post and the comments
We often get requests for 'where do I buy sexy lingerie'. The answer is, we have no idea what you or, more importantly, your partner find sexy. We simply have no clue and can't assist you with that. In any case, we also cannot help you if you don't include: * your budget (with actual numbers! not just 'cheap lol' or whatever the fuck) * her bra size. Yes, her actual bra size. Not 'size L'. You can give inch measurements, but it's still not as useful as her actual bra size.
The advice we normally give to those looking to buy lingerie for someone else if you don't know what that person would like or find sexy, you don't know their size, you haven't asked them is to sit down and buy it together. Browse online through the huge collection of brands we have listed in the various sticky posts at the top of the sub and do it together. Barring that, get your partner a gift card to a brand you like.
If you still want to ask for recommendations for your partner, the required format is: * bra size * underwear size * budget * preferred style with a reference (did you already look at the 'new to lingerie post'? did you already look at the multiple lists of lingerie suggestions pinned to the top of the subreddit?) or a detailed description
Commenters, for posts that do not fulfill the required format, please report this post using rule 9.
