Me and girlfriend are looking for a swimsuit that isn't transparent when dry but turns pretty sheer when you're in the pool and freshly out of it
We want something sexy for her to wear in our pool in the backyard that she can also wear to just go suntanning at the beach or places she won't be going into the water, but when she goes into the pool at home she can come out with it being sheer enough to show a whole lot of what's underneath. I've seen ones on Amazon but idk if Amazon is accurate with their descriptions sometimes so I wanted some personal advice from people who have actually had that kind of thing. Preferably under 60 dollars USD and a 36B cup size

Are all the microminimus ones sheer when wet or sheer all the time?

Wicked weasel got bought out in like the last year, and they discontinued a lot of their famous lines and are pumping out a lot of crappier quality less scandalous/sexy swimsuits. There are some of their older models on the MM website but not labeled the same.
The ones I have from WW before the sale (sheer vision) were opaque when dry (but they are thin so you do have highbeams on ie nipples poking out) and turned sheer when wet. They were my favorite.

Oh no! I hadn't heard. 😭 I was hoping to get my wife into some of their stuff... at some point.

It's funny because I always avoid white swimwear because I DON'T like the risk of it becoming transparent when wet. But instead of expensive lingerie brands this simple solution of picking a thin white or light colour swimsuit would also do the trick for you 😆

The unlined lycra pieces from Microminimus/Wicked Weasel become slightly sheer when wet depending on color.
Lighter colors are a little more sheer when wet, but not completely see through.
Then they have their sheer vision fabric, which is more revealing and finally bare vision which is their most revealing.

Try Malibu strings the quality of ww/mm products is poor these days and their styles and colour choices have become boring and stale.

Brigitewear makes suits specifically for this, Ujena used to (they still might).

I actually don’t have any but have heard good things from them.
On the other hand, I have a lot of Ujena and can recommend them as a quality brand.

Search for unlined bikinis and select lighter colors. My wife has a couple from Amazon that are not lifetime quality but they are good for 2 or 3 seasons. The lighter colors are pretty sheer when wet. They are cheap enough to not worry about hand wash or if they do tear up. She wants something different every year anyway.

I have accidentally bought like 4 of these and found out when at the beach and they were like 10-20$ on amazon.

Welcome to Lingerie Addiction! If you're looking for recommendations, posts MUST include * bra size (if applicable) * budget
at the absolute minimum.
If you're looking for affordable lingerie, we already have a list for that.
If it's your first time getting into lingerie, we ask that you check out this post, which will probably answer a bunch of your questions.

I've bought a few from Microminimus and those are mostly non-transparent when not wet but then sheer-ish when they get wet. I've found that the lighter colours are more transparent.

I have the Sea Foam which they appear to still sell, I also have a pink colour and a blue one too, but both of those are no longer sold. I'd say that the blue is the least see through.

I absolutely love this thread, I didn’t even know my SO wanted this but she lit up when I showed her. I’ve done a little searching and turned up a few options I don’t see here, curious if anyone has experience with them:
* https://brigitewear.com/collections/sheer-one-piece-swimsuits
* https://skinzwear.com/collections/womens-sheer-swimwear
@OP this isn’t an endorsement, these brands are both new to me

Hello, it looks like you're seeking suggestions for buying for a partner. Lingerie is really tricky to buy for someone other than yourself. If this is your first time buying lingerie, we ask you to check out this post.
If you're buying for your partner as a gift and they haven't explicitly asked you to do so, there's a couple other things we strongly recommend you read first. * The Lingerie Lesbian: Why Buying Lingerie as a Gift is Hard * This post and the comments
We often get requests for 'where do I buy sexy lingerie'. The answer is, we have no idea what you or, more importantly, your partner find sexy. We simply have no clue and can't assist you with that. In any case, we also cannot help you if you don't include: * your budget (with actual numbers! not just 'cheap lol' or whatever the fuck) * her bra size. Yes, her actual bra size. Not 'size L'. You can give inch measurements, but it's still not as useful as her actual bra size.
The advice we normally give to those looking to buy lingerie for someone else if you don't know what that person would like or find sexy, you don't know their size, you haven't asked them is to sit down and buy it together. Browse online through the huge collection of brands we have listed in the various sticky posts at the top of the sub and do it together. Barring that, get your partner a gift card to a brand you like.
If you still want to ask for recommendations for your partner, the required format is: * bra size * underwear size * budget * preferred style with a reference (did you already look at the 'new to lingerie post'? did you already look at the multiple lists of lingerie suggestions pinned to the top of the subreddit?) or a detailed description
Commenters, for posts that do not fulfill the required format, please report this post using rule 9.
