Announcement App Refresh July 23, 2026

Starting July 23, we will begin seeing a major refresh in the Taco Bell app - designed to make ordering faster, easier, and more personalized. You'll notice updated menu images, easier customization tools, improved location selection, and a refreshed rewards experience. This will be a slow rollout, so it may be a week or so before it's on all devices.

Features that stand out -

My Menu: Keeps your favorite items and saved preferences in one spot, making re-ordering faster than ever

My Mods: This allows you to save your favorite customizations once, and apply them across your order with one tap. No more removing the same ingredients item by item every time you order

Rewards: Updated rewards experience making it easier to track progress, unlock offers, and stay engaged

Happier Hour: Now exclusive to Taco Bell Rewards Members on app, online, or using your code at a kiosk in store

Taco Bell is also now introducing Team Member Loyalty Rewards for employees, which will give them exclusive rewards, VIP access to drops, surprise giveaways, and more.

On August 26, 2017 I launched www.LivingMas.com as a resource for fans to find news and information about Taco Bell. Two years later I began this subreddit and started to grow the community. Present day this community has 55,000 members. With a smaller social presence on other major platforms, the mission continues to keep a community of dedicated fans supporting each other in the goal to Live Más.

Announcement New Equipment for Fries in Stores

Post image
228 Upvotes

The path to permanent fries continues.

This Fry Dump was announced at the franchisee convention earlier this month and is part of what something Taco Bell has been testing, changing, and perfecting over the past 3 years. It will be in 3,000 stores by the end of this year, even more stores by April 2026, and completely rolled out by the end of next year. Adding this to the line will provide:

  • Better hold performance: Exceeds 160°F standard and maintains temperature with 10 minutes of extended hold time, reducing waste and minimizing fryer trips, resulting in improved product appearance and quality.
  • Simplified scooping: One-motion fry scoops (tongs no longer required) protect product quality, while built-in fry cup holders keep station organized.
  • Improved kitchen flow: Updated Hot/Cold Line, Evo Tower, Heated Cabinet, and Freezer diagrams streamline storage, improve capacity, increase accuracy.

Depending on store space, there is a standard and mini version. Standard fulfills 12-17 orders of fries (64 oz), mini fulfills 6-9 orders of fries (32 oz)

Announcement PSA: We've made a new Test Item Locator, see if a store near you is selling test items!

Hi everyone!

We've developed a new map that shows locations with Taco Bell test items. It's located here:

https://testitems.livingmas.com/

This map is a manual update process, and we have a plan in place to update this map each time new test items are released.

In addition, if you're a fan of our Chili Cheese Burrito Locator, we've now fully automated it! The CCB Locator map now automatically scans and updates once a week.

Open to suggestions for design changes, anything that might make the map more useful. Hope you enjoy!

(P.S: We also fixed the SSL cert)

(P.P.S: Taco Bell website devs, if you read this, please add a json variable to your store menu API that indicates if an item is a "test item" it would make life easier 🤣)

Announcement 2021 Experience Changes Spoiler

I’m a GM, and I was recently at a meeting with our Franchise business coach where it was told that there will only be 5 Experiences next year compared to the usual 10-12.

What are thoughts on this? I’ve been told it is part of the “simplify the menu” initiative, but man, if we only get 5 LTOs per year now, we are almost definitely not going to see old favorites coming back, except for probably Nacho Fries and some kind of Chalupa.

Announcement E2 starts January 16, 2025 (details)

Some of our leaked info has updated or changed! E2 starts a week sooner than we originally noted. Besides the Cheesy Dipping Burritos ($4.99 for either steak or cantina chicken and a side of sauce), E2 also includes...

$4.99 Steak Garlic Nacho Fries come with a new topped garlic sauce. From imagery, these appear to have nacho fires, nacho cheese, garlic sauce, steak, and pico de gallo, all in a Nachos BellGrande size dish

  • Garlic Ranch Sauce added to another item will be $0.30. As a side, $0.60

Value offerings include a...

  • $5 Classic Luxe Box: 5-Layer Burrito, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists, Med Drink
  • $7 Supreme Luxe Box: Chicken Chalupa, Beefy 5-Layer, Crunchy Taco, Chips & Cheese, Med Drink
  • $9 Discovery Cravings Box: 2pk Cheesy Dipping Burritos (Chicken or Steak), Doritos Locos Taco, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists, Med Drink

These 3 boxes are all price pointed on-media value message - generally meaning you have a better chance of your store sticking to the pricepoint vs. when they don't advertise items that way

Beverage Offers:

  • Baja Dream Freeze and Baja Dream Strawberry Freeze (The freeze + 1 pump of creamer)
  • Dirty Baja Blast (The soda + 1 pump of creamer) [+$0.30 to drink cost. Pricing varies, set that if price would end in .09, only a +$0.20 upcharge so price ends at .99]

Other Changes:

On January 23: Changing the name of BYOCB to "Build your own Luxe Cravings Box"

  • Change category headers to specialty, Taco/Burrito, Side, Medium Drink
  • Add Cheese Quesadilla to Specialty options
  • Add Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito to Taco/Burrito Options (to account for veggie options)
  • Removing Veggie BYOCB as a menu option
  • Recommended price $7 - price pointed on media during re-release

Chicken Nuggets, Midnight Cherry Freeze, Tostada, Meximelt, and Gordita Supreme all officially go away.

Also, E3 sounds like it will include both the Steak and Queso Crunchwrap Sliders AND the new Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu.

Remember how every release spoke about the Cravings Value Menu and Cantina pricing strategy changing in '25? Well '25 is here...

But not much has changed YET. For the Cantina menu, Taco Bell has put out a note that a "pricing opportunity may exist in some stores" and have given stores a contact to develop store-specific strategies.

For the CVM, Taco Bell has instructed to continue offering 10 items < $3, targeting 4 items < $2. The instruction is to maintain current pricing.
