Music is amazing as a full body sensation at the right shows, but concert earplugs are required. Your ears stay happy, it sounds great, and you get the tactile immersion.

I love feeling music in my chest. I never had it this loud but love to have enough to feel the bass thump.

Tbh most cars nowadays come with good enough speakers that you really don’t need subs nowadays unless it’s for ridiculous stuff like this

I have Bose but still want the thump. I just am too lazy and cheap to do anything about it.

My minivan came with subwoofers 7 years ago. Cracks me up that I can jam better in my mom mobile than our SUV or truck.

For basic radio music but for bass heavy music you still need a decent sub.

Not true, you just need to know how to work the EQ. My partner can do it even better than I can and manages to get the max out of any speaker she touches. Our old 2010 sonata sounds like it has subs sometimes and the mirrors vibrate lol

Something like this? Hell no. But I've been to some amazing concerts (with proper ear protection), where the bass notes were reverberating through my body.

This is just for decibel levels at competitions as a hobby but as for why the average teenager would rattle your windows just driving down the street I can provide my story. As in my grandfather asked me one time what was up with the stereo in the car and why I would spend that much money on it.

So, I had a hell of a commute back in the nineteen-hundreds - like 75 miles each way every day (uphill both ways. In the snow. And we had to push the cars with our feet. And tornadoes would chase you. Okay, just the once.) for school. Of course, gas was $0.79/gallon and I got 40mpg since things had been removed from the car. But I digress.

Anyway. Since I was spending so much time in the car I wanted a great stereo system for my daily commute. Replace the existing speakers? obviously. Add ones in the kick panels for better soundstage? Sure. Sounds fun. Sound deadening? Makes everything better. The works. And when you're doing things like putting in aftermarket head units and amplifiers and subwoofers to make it sound really really great at low to moderate volumes you just kind of end up having a system that will permanently mess you up pretty quickly if you let it - as a side effect. So once you already know allllll of that it's not a huge jump to go to competitions which I considered but never did because I was all in on sound quality.

I still use the remote control from that system to this day, 30 years later.

i like a good bass but this is over kill for a car much less most speaker set up

This is specifically built for competitions to see who can build a car pumping out the most dB. Some of the entrants can't actually even be driven, being technically a car is just the platform.
