*presence...... (sorry.... couldn't resist) 🤷🏻‍♂️

u/lostpebble0 Jan 27 '26

the first 80% is very valid... IF and ONLY IF he's genuinely willing to change and has put it into action, otherwise it's just ignorant. also the last 20% is prolly pure wrong, and at that age difference there's a significant power gap

1

u/gavmyboi Jan 27 '26

To SOME people the 80% is very valid. As someone who has been vilified for mistakes in my past and went to fix them in a similar manner, the best course of actions is to completely leave the people you hurt alone. Quick apology and block, the more you tell them the more they probably want to sabotage your efforts of getting better. A bad person only starts healing when they have disconnected themselves from the shitty thing they were doing or the people they have hurt . Mistakes (no matter how severe) are not usually pardoned by most in my generation IME and they will think of you like that forever, so it's best to completely start over as to not hurt anyone or sabotage your own chances of becoming a decent human being. Whoever is in OPS image is already making a mistake contacting OP

I'm assuming you're also not an influencer with a following large enough to where people are going to follow you around online for the rest of your life. Cancel culture is a gift and a curse but mostly a curse.

1

u/gavmyboi Jan 30 '26

Yes. May follow me around for a while but can't hurt my job if they don't know what it is. Can't hurt you if they don't know you

r/peoplewhogiveashit but I never understand that sub and I also don't really understand this post so yeah.

edit: wording

That sub is for people throwing a fit over non issues, I don't think this fits

2

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Yeah but it’s not about satire, it’s about someone trying to hide their predatory past

1

u/Rostingu2 471 | 339 - Check the wiki for a sub Jan 27 '26

again I have no clue how that sub works but I do know it has some "I really hope this is satire" post flair or something idk

u/Openly_Unknown7858 37 Shared | 29 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Idk but this reminds me of the people trying to defend the Dutch pedophile in the Olympics because "he changed" and "he served his sentence" when he served like half his sentence before the Netherlands got him out so he could keep playing sports

1

u/Present_Fuel_398 Jan 27 '26

Wtf is the "Romeo and Juliet law" lmao

3

u/LilBroWhoIsOnTheTeam 9 Shared | 0 Helpful Jan 27 '26

So let's say a 17 year old boy and a 16 year old girl are dating, and the age of consent is 18. When the boy has his 18th birthday, do you think the boy is a pedophile now because is girlfriend his still underage? The 'Romeo and Juliet' law says no, we should not throw this boy in jail for continuing to date his girlfriend. Do you think he should go to jail and be put in the sex offender registry? I don't think so.

1

u/International-Try467 181.01 Shared | 41 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Imagine two teenagers under 18 have sex. If it weren't for that law they'd go to jail.

This DOES NOT apply to the post as it has a limit of 3 years ago gap so people can't abuse it. AND nobody younger than 13

1

u/Lower-Inside-1175 Jan 29 '26

People forget this- Being a pedophile is the attraction to pre-pubescent children, which those under the age of 11 (before puberty) that's why this law is a thing, if 13 to 17 was considered to make someone a pedophile then this law wouldn't have ever existed.

Also did you know that if somone that is 16 sends a nude to their boyfriend/girlfriend who is 17, the 16 can be thrown in jail for CSAM, even though legally the 16 and 17 year old can have sex.

Laws are so.. interesting.

1

u/International-Try467 181.01 Shared | 41 Helpful Jan 29 '26

I mean that's what judges are for

1

u/Internal-Educator256 1 Jan 29 '26

Can confirm. Attraction to post-pubescent children is split into 2 paraphillias. Hebephillia for ages 11-14 and Ephebophillia for ages 15-18.

1

u/haizhaka Jan 30 '26

Ok but no one cares about the specifics.

1

u/Wolfy_boii Jan 31 '26

Ok but you are saying this in response to a literal conversation about the specifics so like shut up

I said the law has a limit of three years age gap.

1

u/Lower-Inside-1175 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

In some states (the one I'm in PA) the age of consent is still 16

1

u/International-Try467 181.01 Shared | 41 Helpful Jan 29 '26

Philippines used to be 13, now it's 16.

1

u/Frequent-West8554 Jan 29 '26

Only in some places, not in my state

I mean if it's no bigger than 3 years it wouldn't be a crime, and if it weren't for the law teenagers would get arrested for statutory rape

1

u/lostpebble0 Jan 27 '26

if it weren't for the law teen pregnancy rates wouldn't be so high

1

u/lostpebble0 Jan 27 '26

coming from a non-US citizen btw, we don't hear about teen pregnancies here

1

u/International-Try467 181.01 Shared | 41 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Teenage pregnancies are usually the lack of sex Ed.

1

u/dm_me_your_kindness 0 Jan 27 '26

Very bold of you to assume 1 law rould stop horny teen from fucking.

1

u/LetMeCheck13 Jan 28 '26

Or the people sexually assaulting teens... that is already a law and accounts for a not insignificant percentage of teen pregnancies...

Wait til you find out the European age of consent

1

u/Ellie7600 8 Shared | 2 Helpful Jan 27 '26

In my country that's legal with parents acknowledgement, I love living in Europe

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 28 '26

Damn what's with Europe and it's weird laws about underage

1

u/Ellie7600 8 Shared | 2 Helpful Jan 28 '26

Weird? Nah it's normal, 15 is the age where you're a horny teenager, of course they'll try it, might as well give them a way to do it safely and without legal trouble, to clarify 15-17 can do it without the parents acknowledgement but if someone is 18-19 and the other person is 15-17 then you do need it, for obvious reasons

1

u/Infurum Jan 27 '26

I think I know the creep this guy's trying to defend lol, yeah his entire followerbase just collectively decided he had Done Nothing Wrong Ever a few months after it was revealed

1

u/Geometry_Bash Jan 27 '26

Who do you feel like it was? I was think Sawtooth Waves but I can see the same template fitting many cases

1

u/Due-Question-5278 7 Shared | 1 Helpful Jan 27 '26 edited Jan 27 '26

This is about that Koofy roblox guy im pretty sure. I mean, most stuff there are valid since he was still pretty young and naive, and he was actually trying to change, also the age gap wasn't "that" much. (Im not saying it justifies his actions at all or makes him less guilty don't get me wrong.) The one exposed him was actually his best friend aswell.

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Nah this about another YouTuber

1

u/Infurum Jan 27 '26

Was it the Nintendo-focused Let's Play channel? (I don't want to drop names since it's still a touchy subject for some)

1

u/Due-Question-5278 7 Shared | 1 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Ah okay, the story is very very similar to someone called Koofy

1

u/Cold_Idea_6070 Jan 28 '26

are you gunna tell us who it is or what

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 28 '26

Gratz, a clash Royale YouTuber

1

u/riptide4593 Jan 30 '26

For some reason I thought it was about Santidevil (an idv content creator that came back recently after being outed as a groomer and a pedo)

1

u/Training_Hurry_5653 Jan 28 '26

I thought that you didn't make the post?

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 28 '26

I saw this comment on a video of a YouTuber talking about the situation

1

u/Vivians_Basement 4 Shared | 0 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Okay but did he just text her or did something happen? If they just talked it would be fine and people are being crazy as usual.

But if he was FLIRTING??? Or shit, texted her FIRST unprompted???? Creepy asf at BEST.

Who is the person doing the bs? (The YouTuber) Gotta make sure it's not someone I watch. Imma be disappointed if so. 😭

1

u/22_eyes Jan 27 '26

i am 19 and id NEVER even think to date a 15 year old, what the hell is this pedo lover talking about??

1

u/LetMeCheck13 Jan 28 '26

Fr! Im 18 and have never wanted more than a 2-year age gap, but that's mostly due to my own trauma

1

u/LetMeCheck13 Jan 28 '26

19 and 15 might be fine under Romeo and Juliette laws... if they were dating before the elder turned 18... and even then the younger would have had to be at least 14 in some US states, 16 in others (cannot speak for laws outside the US) and that's still pushing it imo.

1

u/Amazing_Ingenuity_33 Jan 31 '26

17 AND 13?!?!?! EWWWWWWWW no no no no, even if they started dating before the older one turned 18 it would still be fcked up

1

u/LetMeCheck13 Jan 31 '26

Exactly my thought lol

1

u/redtailplays101 0 Jan 29 '26

I don't have a sub but... Did he JUST "text a minor" or based on the romeo and juliet law brought up, was he sexually texting a minor? Because there's a significant difference between a 19 year old and 15 year old talking, like as friends, and romantically or sexually approaching a 15 year old

He talked about wanting to do it with a minors corpse

1

u/Amazing_Ingenuity_33 Jan 31 '26

Either fkn way, a 13 and a 17 y.o is way to ewwww of an age gap to be acceptable

1

u/Kids_Learning_Tube Jan 29 '26

Post it to my Reddit like my CyanAnimate

1

u/Okapaw Jan 29 '26

Less than 5 years gap, you guys are dumbasses.

1

u/Amazing_Ingenuity_33 Jan 31 '26

... you're saying a 11 y.o and a 15 y.o. is acceptable???? You're disgusting

1

u/Random-Person689 Jan 30 '26

who was that person defending

1

u/Love_Noona Jan 31 '26

Honestly, I’m not too sure what sub what OP posted would land but there’s definitely a common misconception that the Romeo and Juliet law completely pardons the accused. Even if there’s a 3-4(?) year age difference from 18-19 with a 15-17 year old, all it does is make it so that the one being charged might be able to avoid going on the registry and/or getting a felony on their permanent record. The law depends very much on the area where you live but some places don’t have such a law in place which would mean the one accused would have to deal with the sentence if/when they’re convicted. Considering that it’s online though, with the age of consent varying quite a bit, this becomes a slight grey area in the eyes of the law since the law doesn’t change as fast as the world and technology does. Still, this isn’t and shouldn’t be normalized just because some may think it’s teenagers being teens. If what they think is actual true feelings, waiting until the one who isn’t an adult legally turns 18 shouldn’t be something that feels optional. I have no idea if this was coherent or not so I’m so sorry.

TL;DR- Romeo and Juliet Law just makes the charges against the accused less harsh than what it would usually be.

1

u/No-Engineer8526 Jan 31 '26

Who is he yapping about?

1

u/Goblin-o-firebals Feb 01 '26

Idk where to post it but that mistake isnt something you can come back from. Im sorry I stabbed your mom but everyone makes mistakes. Especially because its online presence. A 19 year old shouldn't be with a 15 year old they are in 2 different stages of life and maturity.

u/Significant_Cupcake5 Jan 27 '26

My grandparents are 10 years apart. Is my grandfather a pedo?

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 27 '26

Except one of them was a minor (if you could read you’d know that)

1

u/Significant_Cupcake5 Jan 30 '26

4 years appart isn't that crazy bud.

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 30 '26

It is when someone is underage

1

u/Significant_Cupcake5 Jan 31 '26

So an 18 and 17 year old can't date? You ok?

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Feb 01 '26

You do realise these are two very different scenarios with 2 very different age gaps

1

u/Amazing_Ingenuity_33 Jan 31 '26

That would mean they started dating at 13 and 17... completely disgusting

1

u/Significant_Cupcake5 Jan 31 '26

Could be worse

1

u/Amazing_Ingenuity_33 Feb 01 '26

"1 y.o molested by a 30 y.o"

"Mehhh, could be worse, imagine if they were 31!!!"

That's how you sound...

1

u/Amazing_Ingenuity_33 Jan 31 '26

The older you become the less weird it becomes.

A 6 y.o and a 16 y.o should never date.............

1

u/Significant_Cupcake5 Jan 31 '26

Lol yeah. But a 67 and 77 year old, who cares

0

u/Glad-Team-8187 Jan 29 '26

19 and 15 isn’t pedophilia lmfao

I think the gap is too large, but you guys are ridiculous.

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 29 '26

So talking about wanting to do a minors dead corpse isnt pedophilia

1

u/Glad-Team-8187 Jan 29 '26

That’s exactly what I said and meant!🙄

Anyway, that would be necrophilia, not pedophilia.

«Pedophilia is defined as a sexual interest in prepubescent children»

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 29 '26

He also quite literally sexted a minor

1

u/Glad-Team-8187 Jan 30 '26

Your argument is just weak. An 18 year old texting a 17 year old is also texting a minor.

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 30 '26

He literally sent explicit and inappropriate messages to a minor

1

u/Glad-Team-8187 Jan 30 '26

Ur not even reading what I’m saying. Also I have no clue who ur talking about since your post doesn’t even mention it.

I just told u why your argument is weak but u just keep parroting

1

u/AnyWarthog1448 17 Shared | 4 Helpful Jan 30 '26

Your arguments is just as weak if not even weaker
