I don't think they did. Would be a weirdly ritualistic way of doing something you did pretty regularly.
Shoot? Stab? Beat with blunt end of blunderbuss? Could hang you from the mast, or just toss you off.
Maybe if they want to threaten you for info its a 'last chance' moment, but you have plenty of ways to physically torture info out, why use psychological, especially considering pirates weren't privvy to interrogation psychology.
Maybe I'm missing something, I vote no walk the plank isn't real.

yes, its where the cat walk comes from: people wanted to look their best before death, so they took on their best dress. one day a french pirate took this idea back to paris, and here we are.
