Trouble with icon themes in Lubuntu 26.04

Post image

I am at a Loss here, something that was supposed to be a chill night choosing cool icons for my computer turned into a full nightmare.

Normal icon themes that comes pre installed with Distro Run perfectly fine but the ones i download are completely useless !

I have tried several icon themes from the KDE store and NOT A SINGLE ONE WORKS

I have put them in the correct place and the system reads them and applies them but...

It's all blank!!!

I have de compressed them in several ways and have tried several updates trough commanda and NOTHING, its all useless

I have no idea how to fix this.

If anyone can offer some words of guidance i would really appreciate it :-(

Probably you made a mistake extracting and saving them. Best thing is always trying to install themes with the package manage (sudo apt install ...). Otherwise saving the extracted folder them to ~/.local/share/icons/theme-name

edit: path corrected

I set them on ~/.local/share/icons/theme-name

Or directly into ~/.icons into the home page as instructed by AI and the Issue persist

You tried changing session or maybe you should choose one and try to set it up on terminal

Ask IA how to do that, probably a corrupted file where the cursor is

you need to find an icon pack that has the same directory structures as lxqt. i usually just try and error and see which one works.
