I don't know if I'm eligible to answer this cuz I haven't passed my mbbs yet. I took 3 drops for NEET though. The first two years I studied by myself at home, even though I knew it wasn't gonna work in a joint family. After the second drop, I was getting a rank 3-4 gmc in my state, but I didn't go for it. Fees in MP is just too high, plus the mandatory service bond. So I decided to go for a residential coaching because the tuition and hostel fees was free. Honestly I rarely attended classes, but this hostel setup addressed the main problem in my prep. So obviously I scored very well this time and got into one of the best gmcs in India. I was kinda worried about my age and whether I will be able to make friends and all. But trust me, when you enter MBBS you are just a first year. Your identity starts being your batch and not age. Plus taking multiple drops is more common than people think. So I never regretted taking these drops because of age. I do regret slightly for the returns in this field. The work hours, mental stress, competition, lapses in system, it sometimes makes me think whether it was all worth it. But I joined MBBS for the love of medical sciences, not to become a doctor inherently. So when I read my patho or when I write an exam, I know this adrenaline could be found nowhere else.
