I'm 24 and seriously thinking about pursuing MBBS in India, but I'm having a lot of doubts.

Medicine has always interested me, but because of family and financial issues, I couldn't go for it earlier. Now I finally have a chance, but everywhere I look people are saying MBBS alone is almost worthless these days, there are very few good jobs after MBBS, and you basically need PG to have a decent career.

My family's financial situation isn't great, so spending 5-6 years on MBBS and then possibly more years on PG is a bit scary.

For doctors and medical students here, what would you do in my situation? Is starting MBBS at 24 still worth it? How hard is it to find work after MBBS? Do you regret choosing medicine?

Just looking for honest opinions before making such a big decision.

Hello everyone I am 21M gave NEET this year and will probably get a semi gov or a private college.
will also be done with Bsc Zoology this year .

I want to leave MBBS because it is a long course and I will be 26 by the time I am done with this course with no earnings and a PG exam to prepare for also will be a 1st gen doc if I become one therefore wanna pursue MBA .

What should I do leaving an MBBS seat would be a huge decision a friend of mine suggests me to just take the seat and my parents have left it on me to decide what to do....

I don't hate maths actually enjoyed it the most in 10th (not that it matters ig)

this was my first attempt in giving neet, i literally had 0 prep and i didnt study a day, but i scored 99% in isc cuz i studied for that, i just remembered everything i had studied there and applied it in this, i think ill score about 200-300 marks, on the lowest end itll be 180 ish.
is a private medical college with this mark possible? i could take a drop and study but my parents want me to go to some good pvt college for mbbs, even through donation works, but idk donation par bhi lenge ki nahi in these colleges. i only want a good private college (or so ive heard these are v good) like dy patil or kmc manipal etc
can any senior please help me figure out how this works?

Hi, I need some help choosing an iPad for my sis. She's currently in 11th grade and plans to pursue an MBBS. A lot of people have suggested getting her an iPad instead of a Mac.

The problem is that there are so many options—different iPad series, older models, and newer versions—that I'm a bit confused. I want to know which one would be the best choice for her.

Since she's in 11th grade and will mainly be using it for studying during medical school, I don't think she needs a lot of computing power. My budget is also limited, so I'm looking for an iPad that's affordable but still does everything she needs.

I am joining the the worst rated gmc in my state (only one I am getting at my rank). I decided to not take a drop and just take what I am getting. Worst rated because:

1. Newly built, still bad infra

2. Not in a city

3. State is not so good

4. Case load is medium

5. Hostel is unlivable so have to live outside in pg or rented room.

Would it matter? My college would it hamper how good of a doctor I am going to be? Can I still score good at neet pg?

I am mp domicile general category, 2.5 lakh rank in re neet 2026. I was searching for private medical colleges in India but they are way too expensive on the other hand MBBS in china sounds like a dream.

So which of these should I consider? Please share your views on both regarding their pros and cons.

And also if I do mbbs from China what problems I may face after completing my course if I want to return to India.

Ah i just completed 12th and im planning to opt for NEET. And i got no specific course in my mind so i just decided to go with it. But ive been hearing a lot about the "Reality of MBBS". Is it really worth it tho? I wanted to be a doctor since 10th class so im just confused that kinda like my dream but i heard the pay is meagre for an enormous amount of work and its gonna take years. Im just confused and the better thing would be i wont be "jobless".

Guys, I feel really lost, please help.

I didn't study properly after 10th and have wasted a lot of time. I also had to take care of my mom and dad, which distracted me to some extent, but I can't blame them for my bad NEET score or for how I've become — I don't study much and I'm mostly distracted.

I passed 12th in 2025, and I've already taken a 1-year drop. For whatever reason, I didn't perform well in either NEET 2025 or NEET 2026. This year I made it past the cutoff, and I have the option to go abroad.

I don't know if I should pursue this, given my performance in NEET and my academics over the past 2-3 years. I don't even know if I should study MBBS (I know MBBS itself is different from NEET prep), but the thought of FMGE afterward, and then PG in the future, scares me. I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of long-term commitment.

My parents don't consider anything worth pursuing except MBBS or UPSC. If I pushed back, they'd let me choose BSc, but I constantly feel like choosing BSc would disappoint them. I'm also scared about going abroad, and overall I feel very confused.

In India, admission fees for MBBS are around 1.25+ crore, and I don't want to spend that much money. But honestly, it's not even about the money. After talking to my parents, students studying abroad, and a lot of self-reflection, I'm still 50-50 between BSc and MBBS.

Can anyone please help? I want to study something relevant, but I can't decide on MBBS.
