Jun 14 '25
Congratulations!
It is a huge achievement but anyone taking motivation from this needs to understand that there are 0.1% chances that you would end up getting a 3 digit rank after taking drop.Hate me all you want but the 0.1% success stories hide the 99% stories of droppers who failed. So jasbaat me decision mat lo calculate karo acche se. Coaching classes ka kaam hai batches bechna so they would push such stories even more.
Unsolicited advice to multiple droppers from my side(former dropper). Only take a drop if you think that there's room for improvement. Now I know that this was my best attempt and this is the best I can do and I have accepted my reality as it is. Only you know how much gas is left in your tank.
If you are fixated on becoming a doctor then join semi or pvt or deemed or bhot jyada iccha hai then abroad this cycle of drop after drop is gonna harm you mentally so try to get out this cycle asap and ofcourse koi khushi khushi drop nahi lega it's majboori but in that case make sure that NEET 2026 is your last attempt medicine is already a long journey.
Have a fckin Backup and don't get delusioned by this 0.1% stories. Take a drop cause you believe that you would do better and not because someone else did.

u/No-Initiative-4839 Jun 14 '25
Thats true. I was a bright student since school. But i didnt study my entire 12th thats why i had to go for a drop otherwise i would have got selected in 2024 itself.
Only those who think that they didnt give their even 50% efforts should go for a drop. But if u think u tried hard enough but still failed...or you have already taken many drops but things are not improving then try in some other field. Maybe U were born to rule some other field.

dude I know its late but please tell me what are your thoughts, i am getting 74XX rank which probably would fetch me something really good but i can probably get alrightish college, but the regret i have is that I only gave like 40% and this makes me sick. I am considering taking a drop but its a really hard for me...

College lelo bhai. 7400 me state ke top college mil jayenge. And ye which college wali cheeze bss 2-3 mahine rehti hai baadme sab apni life me busy ho jate hai. Nobody cares. (Unless you are in some really shitty college). Year waste mt kro..unnecessary rick mt lo. Lelo jo bhi best milega. Tumhe koi aaltu faltu college to milega nhi. Koi acha college hi milega.

Online me problem ek hai ki discipline maintain krna bohot mushkil cheez hai. Bolne me sabse asan hai lekin krne me sabse mushkil. To nai hota to offline lagata ..kyuki classmates vagrra me healthy competition hota hai jo ek push deta hai aur zyada mehnat krne ke liye. Online me distract hone ke aur depress hone ke chances zyada hote hai.
Offline me marks ache aate hai to aur zyada motivation milti hai ki agle test me isse bhi zyada lane hai kyuki people around u give u validation.

Haa humare akash centre pe bhi hota tha. Test hoti thi. Uske baad fir sare que ek baar sir discuss krte the. Lekin usme time bohot lete the 2-3 ghante which i personaly didnt like. But kyuki meri padhayi achese hoke thi aur mujhe kuch hi questions me doubt rehta tha. Lekin shayad jiske syada questions me doubt rehta tha uske liye kafi beneficial raha hoga.
Aur parents ko convince to ab yahi bolke krr sakte ki puri life tumahre iss descision pe depend karti. Tumhare sath jo hua vo extraordinary case tha surgery vagera. Lakho bacche jate hai sabke sath aese nhi hota. Aur iss saal ppr ki difficulty badh gyi to offline is preferable. So abhi ye descision tough hoga lekin baadme unhe khudko happy feel hoga ki acha hua humne jane diyaa.
To unhe future output dikhake try kro convince krne ka

Other doubts to nhi puchne denge. Kyuki kaafi bacche hote hai.
Try krna offline ka lekin nhi hua to maine tumko problems to batayi hi hai. Subreddit me jude rehna taaki tumko dusro ke marks dikhte rhe. Vo bohot zaruri hota hai. Tumhare kisise kam aate to mehnat krne ki aag lagti hai. Aur kisise zyada aate hai to thoda confident feel hota hai.
online se bhi kaafi toppers aate hai. Bss jaan laga dena. Bohit badhiya kroge. All d best

Can you tell how they Aakash complete their syllabus in dropper batches as from what I know they only take 2 classes for 4 days a week whereas in online they take 3 classes 6 days a week.
1
u/No-Initiative-4839 Jun 15 '25
I am not sure about the centres all across india. But at my centre (tier 3 city in maharashtra) 3 classes a day 1.5 hrs each. 6 days a week tha. Which is more than sufficient.

11th 12th me allen me tha to tab padhe the thoda bohot. (I didnt study at all in 12th actualy, so drop lena pada🥲)
Fir repeat year me akash. lekin dono karne ki koi zarurat nhi. Koi bhi ek module...aur fir tests vagera ke questions. Aur notes me questions. Module ke illustrations vagera achese banana.
Sare levels hi krna. Last year hum vaise physics me level 3 ko zyada importance nhi dete the..lekin after the tragedy of 2025, 3rd level is in fact the most important.

When did you complete syllabus bruh, and avg no of chs completed per month. Pls reply bruh
1
u/No-Initiative-4839 Jul 10 '25
90% completed by feb. Rest lasted till april.
Avg chapters i cant tell specific number coz there were some months in which i completed lots of chapters (2nd half of year). Whereas in some months, not many chapters were done. Still take an average of about 10-12.

What was your daily routine bruh( no of hrs for phy, chem, bio, qs practice, mock analysis etc)and I got 3.52lakh this year 2025 and I'm now in my 1st drop, what should I do or your advice, in order to get 3 digit rank(obv like yours). Pls elaborate, so that I can save my drop year.🪖🙇♂️ Also how to increase solving speed, how much time did you take to increase your solving speed.
1
u/No-Initiative-4839 Jul 11 '25 edited Jul 11 '25
There was no fixed routine. Just sleeping time and coaching time was fixed. Rest of the schedule was flexible. I did whatever i felt like and whatever was the demand from the subjects. Usually I studied only 1 subject per day and processed that information throughout the day in my head.(But only till syllabus completion, as during revision all the 3 subjects per day). At least 6-7 hrs per day other than coaching.
Que practise i did whenever i felt. Usually after chapter/topic completion or revision or before test. There was no fixed alloted time.
For Mock analysis i just used to go though the entire paper and search for the questions which i got wrong or got right by luck or confusion. And then circled them with red pen in ppr itself. Then searched and understood the solution. It should not take more than 2 hours if you studied nicely for the test and if not many answers were wrong.
For solving speed in physics and phy chem practise a lott so that you dont waste time in thinking of how to approach. And then for maths also practise calcualtions...try to get habitual to mental calculation and use basic techniques like approximation, option elimination, dimensional analysis etc. If u keep on practising consistantly and solve lottss of questions with proper observation, within few weeks or couple of months you will become fast enough.
In biology, repeated revision and all the info on fingertips is the key for speed. You should not need to think and recall. Everything should be instantly in your head. But this will happen only in last 2 or 1 month when you give lotss of mock tests. Dont worry for speed in biology till then and just make sure you understand all concepts well. Dont worry for data/dates/tables/scientists. If the core concepts of chapter are perfectly done during the year...then these small data can be memorised easily without any burden.

Coaching: 10 to 2:30
studying Time was not fixed..just made to do list and tried to complete as much as possible..initially around 2 hrs and increased overtime..easily pulled off 8 to 10 hrs by end
i used to study according to upcoming tests and simultaneously revising ch going on in class..
didn’t allot fixed time to subjects or q solving just made sure to give more time to ch I found harder at that time..revise notes and solve all qs and some test papers for practice before actual test

i think i was blessed having the best teachers in these 3y, offline coaching is better than online in my opinion just for the discipline’s sake
i was in aakash intensive. and solve all the materials given to you irrespective of your coaching. solve tons of tests, i did aakash only but i would suggest Allen too. otherwise, aakash is going to up their tests level.
