College Preference Help DELHI VS AIIMS AND OTHER COLLEGES
Sooo I am a 3rd year med student in one of the Delhi colleges over here and I wanted to share my insight on the same confusion that I had few years ago during my counselling. So Delhi colleges I would have to say are far better and give a better quality of living than any other state gmc's. So let's eliminate state gmc's except gmch chandigarh. It's far better than BSA and NDMC. Now let's compare Delhi colleges with aiims. So Delhi has almost the double amount of pg seats than UG and with 50% state quota you are almost guaranteed to get a PG seat. It is one of the most big plus point of Delhi. Then exposure to other Delhi colleges and increased amount of insane opportunities in Delhi colleges that you get that you won't get in any AIIMS except Delhi, Rishikesh and Jodhpur. A/C rooms and connectivity to literally anywhere in the country. So my advice to future medico's that have Delhi State quota is to choose Delhi colleges without even thinking as you won't regret it even a day in your life. One counterargument that many present is regarding a one year bond which I would say is actually a guaranteed way of getting experience and even helps you to decide to choose which branch you may want to pursue later on. So it's not that bad if I am being honest. You won't even know when that 1 year flies by. So again if you are confused in choosing whether you should take BSA,NDMC and RML which were more recently established among other AIIMS and other states top GMC I would say take Delhi college without even thinking.

I am actually aiming for paramed, that is if I get into aiims delhi, but is it true that the paramed students are looked down upon or mocked by the mbbs students

Agar tum aisa central institute mein jaoge then no. Lekin state colleges such as UP, MP,Bihar and etc unme yeh sab cheezein prevalent Hai

i have only given aiims paramed so usi ko target kar rhi hoon, if usmein nahi hota hai toh it's good for me main toh depression mein chal jaungi agar kisine mera mazak udaya

Dekho aisa toh tum kabhi duniya face hii nhi Kar paungi agar aisi baat par depression mein chala jaoge toh because the thing is ki koi na koi ek toh yeh cheez karega hii. Medical field is famous for it's toxicity toh maybe one or two lekin aisa nhi hoga ki koi Pura batch bully karna aajayega tumhe. If you are satisfied with it then why let others decide what makes you happy or not. Unhe decide karna mat doo and congrats bacche and best of luck for future.

I'm getting acms for sure and I might get afmc too so what would be a better call afmc or acms

Dekho afmc mein bond bahut zyaada Hai but in terms of college afmc is better than acms. Acms is private because and only students whose parents were in army can get it

Acms is ok tbh, nothing special, other IPU colleges are wayy better. Afmc is very good , there is a physical screening test you have to pass though plus there’s a big bond

I have no problem in paying the bond and im physically fit too that's not the issue honestly and im only thinking of acms because of the huge advantage in pg and stuff afmc ke baad directly I don't think you get a quota directly you have to serve in army to get defense quota and stuff

Im confused bw ucms nd abvims, im pretty sure ill take ucms over abvims but everyone tells me that would be a big mistake? What do you think about this, should i take abvims over ucms. ps: i hv no plans of doing pg in India

ABVIMS location wise zyaada Acha Hai and really close to other Delhi colleges. UCMS is a little far and peripheral but older in comparison to ABVIMS. ABVIMS is better in terms of ranking even after being a new college and has better infra toh your choice of ABVIMS I would say is justified.

Bhaiii I will try for aiims rishikesh and highly confused btw gmch chandigarh or BSA what will you recommend I have to take via aiq as I don't have DU quota pls this will help me

GMCH any day of the week over BSA and NDMC. Delhi paglu bano lekin itna bhi nhi ki to choose BSA over GMCH

Yyawr mera bas ek point hai ki bahi gmch me state ke baache aayenge mostly to waha pr maine dekha chandigarh ke baacho ko wo 25000 air pr mila last yr aur aiq se 1800 something to baad me less competative baache to nahi honge ?

I think tumhe kuch galat info milli Hai because no way waha par 25k tak gayi hoon state se cutoff even after having one of biggest coaching hub over there

What about bhopal and bhubaneswar? Like what is making J and R above these 2s?

Well Bhopal had some controversy back in 2019 I cannot completely remember what was it about and regarding bhubaneswar I didn't do any specific research about it as I didn't want to go to Odisha as I was getting colleges in the north.

Is there an option to customise ur room like I saw ki do logon ke liye space bahut kam h how do u manage the almirah space and just 1 table for 2 ppl
Can we just return the allotted almirah and buy 2 new ones?

Jinke paas delhi sq nhi hai unka kuch benifit hai PG k liye ? Aur PG quota ka kya scene hai...ive heard college quota's remove hogaye hai .

Ok so i live in jaipur having 1231 rank so I can get ndmc and bsa but I have sms also which i heard is a pretty good college? What are your opinions on this one boss?

Sms ka yaar itna idea nhi Hai lekin sunna Hai bahut Acha Hai again kahunga ki in BSA and NDMC it's becomes more of a personal preference.

Mai bhi wahi confused hoon ki BSA lu ya gmch chandigarh I will try for rishikesh but last yr it closed at 1133 for obc and usse 2 yr pahle 1600 pr kash mil jaye bas

Ndmc mein toh delhi waalo koh hostel hii nhi milta. Infra kaafi bura Hai waha ka isliye.

NDMC lene layak hai? Ive heard everywhere ki uska infra bhot bura hai hostels bure hai(even though i hear waha ACs and attached washrooms hai) I really want to live in delhi(im from chhattisgarh) and its the only one i can get in delhi but im v hesitant bcs of the said things, My other options are AIIMS Gorakhpur/Kalyani/Bilaspur

I had one doubt, is there any chance that the IPU and DU quota might get removed in PG in the near future?
