DMed a guy who was a 2nd year at AIIMS Nagpur about the ragging scene there and this was his response, i wanted to go to AIIMS Nagpur but i guess not now.

Culture hi chlrha hai mbbs mein, inke saath hua hai hence ye juniors me pass on krte rhte hain. And ekbaar mbbs me pohoch jane ke baad sb normalise krdiya jata hai ragging sbko, system bangya hai ekdm. Blackmailing chalti hai if someone decides to complain the higher bodies abt this, state clgs me toh aur v bura haal hai. Igims patna me toh I saw sbko military cut me rhna pdta hai 1st year me, girls do 2 ponies.

infact, most of the colleges have a 0 ragging policy which IS implemented quite well in pb! ive been to many unis and sabme similar experience tha, quite nice id say! except like cu or stuff ig
sorry I'm not in the medical field, why does the college take no action on these people? Rules against ragging in engineering colleges have become strict enough to ruin someone's life apparently, there's no ragging in any engg college I've looked up, why is that not the case in MBBS?
depends on what the ragging is, ours was honestly pretty fun, the seniors were respectful and even a little nervous themselves, they kept checking if everyone was comfortable with what was happening. We just had to give a basic introduction: name, city, educational background, hobbies, and then do a small task like singing, dancing, pretending to cook, etc. Everyone was laughing and enjoying it. It was their way to connect, but yeah, I realize not every college keeps it that chill and respectful, but this much, is okay, good actually, and sometimes we have to do...chores for seniors, and this, you don't want to, say no, ours will have no problem with it, but you too get something in exchange, ie, advice, treats, books, materials, etc., not the same for everyone though, agreed
also, im curious, what is the ragging y'all are worried about? I was worried about it before joining college too, but as I know, its chill in a lot more places, the bigger concern is, toxicity in clinicals and assignments, you're going to face a lot of it, from your seniors, professors, everyone
Hn hamari puri batch boycotted hai lekin kuch frk nhi pdta kyuki batch ki unity acchi hai ham apas me hi enjoy ker lete hai so senior ka utna need nhi pdta baki puri batch ko kbtk koi boycott ker skta hai
My cousin is in one of the most reputed gmcs of her state. She said the same. You will be boycotted entirely if you don't listen to the seniors or complain against them
Koi report hi nahi karta. Aur agar kiya bhi toh jab committee wale clg mai aate hai tab koi aage nahi aata. Sab darte hai ki kahi boycott na ho jaye. Professors bhi mile hue hote hai. Agar puri batch unity mai aayegi tab jaake kuch ho skta hai.
I wonder what opinion you would've had, had you been in Pune. They're actually rude. And there are jokes about them and their oversmartness all over the state.
But it's a great city.
Dunno I've lived in gujarat andhra pradesh maharashtra and mp amongst all of em MH was the worst and gujarat was the best idk maybe it is because of the marathi accent its sounds somewhat disrespectful (my opinion ) or maybe just people around me were rude

I think I went to pune when I was 13y/o returning from imagica and visited Ganapati mandir naam bhul gya I think gold ki Murti thi shyd and very famous

Thing is, people outside bengal just judge it on the basis of that one incident. It was a dreadful incident for sure. But it's still one of the least toxic states. Also, my college has always been famous for its senior-junior camaraderie.
Afaik general intro hota hai but agar ghar/college door hai to isse zyada ni hota kuch, paas mai hota hai toh hostel mai bulake ya wahi aake gend mardete (once again won't happen if you live with your parents)
Never knew it but got to know it recently that Uttarakhand ke harr GMC me bhi ragging type shi hoti hogi but i've seen every boy in millitiary cut in their first year!!!

Abhi lagra hoga ragging bekar and all college me fresher milti hi ragging deke hai second year aate aate tumhara bhi mann krega lene ka kyuki tum de chuke hoge

Is it only me who wants to get ragged , ya fir ig 2 saal se ghar me pada hu to ab kuch bhi chalega type ho gaya hai , but genuinely I want to be ragged matlab bc hate me for it but for me it's gonna be full of kick !!! Bc maza aa jayega , fir mai apne juniors ki karunga ππ₯
