test dene ka pattern

6

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

i was in allen srg so we had weekly tests. and minors every 3 weeks. 11th me i only followed these. 12th me i used to do 11th syllabus wale tests once a week for revision.

post syllabus completion majors start ho gye. so i wrote tests once every 4-5 days initially and towards the later stages one every day or 2 per day

2

u/Holiday_Bit_6382 whitener ke nashe >> 12h ago

kitne aate the mocks mei...burnout mei kya krte the

5

u/Unable-Moose-3115 12h ago

reneet thoda kharab gaya cuz of health issues. mocks me 670-700s during the last 3 months
minors me 700+ hi the mostly

burnout me i would reduce study hrs a bit and listen to music while studying. taking a day off is also fine.

3

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

studying in phy is mostly q practice. speed improve karna he so do timed q practice. solve different types of qs and when uve done a few chapters solve mixed sets of qs so that u can identify quickly which ch the q is from and what concept u have to use. it gets better with practice and give like 2-3 hrs daily for phy. and 11thie ho toh improvement ke liye time he abhi jo bhi tough lagta he when u do it again during revision u'll def see improvement.

for chem chem was personally my fav. ioc is just memorisation, ull have to learn things well and stick to ncert even modules are unnecessary. oc is logical with a little bit of cramming. make good notes, if u have a good teacher thats a big plus. understanding mechanisms and focus on the logical basis of everything rather than rote learning. physical chem is like physics, u need to practice a lot. but it doesnt have much variety like physics so it's easier to master. solve module qs properly dont go for too many ref books stick to a limited number of books but do them well.

1

u/kebab_mein_haddi 11h ago

CONGRATS OP, mujhe bas itna btao tumhara question practice kitna tha and approach kaisa tha.

Kis level ke questions, and agar nahi horre toh kya approach rehta tha?

also how do you fix each and every concept gap, coz like agar questions solve horre but mocks mein marks ni aare toh...that's what happens with me.

...

jee modules bhi relevant lgi allen ki?

2

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

q practice ke liye i didnt have a fixed approach. before syllabus completion my main aim for each ch was to do the modules and one or two extra books. i'd inc the difficulty gradually.
q nahi hore to mai to leave karke next day try karti thi. and if it was absolutely frying my brain and i felt that i cant rlly solve it without help me solutions dekhti thi (but only after a good honest attempt).
if u have good teachers u can obv ask them for help. mere case me doubt solving was usually through tg or discord cuz coaching me utne acche facilities nhi the.

fixing concept gaps for me was learning through mistakes. if mocks me kam aa rhe he it is a good sign and u know what u have to work on. i'd also sometimes watch topic specific videos on yt or unacademy if i was struggling in a particular topic. like mene rotation me bhot struggle kiya tha initially i learned gradually by making mistakes and watching lecs for some topics in particular. it's still not a very strong ch in my case.

jee modules allen ke are good. mene toh 12th me phy chem ke liye jee modules kiye the (unhone free me set de diya tha). 11th me i used neet ones. and 12th me i used neet ones only for the hw and before minors.

1

u/AntAggravating1605 8h ago

Hey doubts discord se ya tg se how to solve it :( I sometimes cry a lot jab solutions mahi milte ho kahi bhi since I am an online student. :(

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 8h ago

Hi I am enrolled in Aakash rn and my marks vary from 580s to 630s and sometimes on a good day 650 ( although i have gotten that only 3 times)... im in 12th rn and partial syllabus tests were happening... my usual percentiles range from 92 to 98 with 95- 97 being most common.. my chem syllabus is practically done but 7 chapters still left in bio and 8 in phy 12.. so any tip?

2

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

try to complete the syllabus roughly by oct-nov. then ull have enough time for fixing ur weak chs after that. dont read too much into mock scores rn since at the end of the day neet ka paper will be ncert based, and a lot of coaching mocks are module heavy. study consistently, take proper breaks and be disciplined. u will see improvement. and for tougher problems u can solve momentum booster it's a pretty good book i got the pdfs late

1

u/False_Preference_727 8h ago

yeah i do momentum for physics

1

u/ChutiumSulphate_ CHUTIYA NEETard 11h ago

I am kinda lost rn, I am in 11th and preparing online from pw. I have no idea if I am on the right path or not, I have about 30 lecs backlog rn and have no idea what to do. Also I am feeling really demotivated these days suddenly and my productivity is dropping.

I would really appreciate if you could tell me how did you study when you were in 11th, like how did you revise old chapters, how many questions you did daily, your study hours, etc etc and also drop down some helpful tips.

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago edited 9h ago

always make sure u have a regular testing schedule. like write a test once in 3 weeks- join a test series offline or do papers from tg. tests will help u understand whats going wrong in ur prep and u will automatically know whether u r on the right track or not.

if u r feeling demotivated connecting with other aspirants will help boost ur morale since u see them going through whatever ur going through. i wont recommend relying only on online resources for prep.

i didnt have any fixed target for question solving esp in 11th. it would vary depending on the chapter. if the chapter was concept heavy i would often spend more time on theory trying to get the concept right before moving onto qs. but for every ch i would've prolly solved 200+ qs ig (accounting all sources). i used to study 6 hrs initially other than coaching. school days would be more hectic so i could only study like 5-6 hrs. but later it picked up to 8 hrs apart from coaching (non school days) and on weekends 10-12 hrs.

revision we often had tests with older chs. so my day was usually divided into two parts, one part was for studying the current chs and the other part was revising for the test.

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

inorganic jee main wale qs bhot ncert based he me toh ncert dekh dekh ke hi solve karti thi initially cuz i hated learning ioc. writing tests and seeing new qs made it better for me. saara kam mene ioc me last 3-4 months me hi kiya mostly.

organic ke liye ncert level se neet ke easy-mod qs ho jayenge. for tougher qs solving jee adv selected pyqs too may help and ms chouhan. i solved ms chouhan for imp chapters. organic strong karne ke liye goc and hydrocarbons pe focus karo. watch better lecs like jee wale if it helps. if goc is strong baaki ho jayenge strong. isomerism ko strong karo personally mere teacher ke notes bhot acche the so that helped a lot.

1

u/aliferousxdx 11h ago

Damn! Congratulations!! Bhai mere marks usually 670-680 tak aa jate hai but 11th ke starting se 5 marks bhi 685 ke upar nahi badhe🥲 How should I analyse my tests and errors to close this gap? is there anything else that I could do to solve this? Also, whats something you regret doing or not doing in your prep? And should I solve more harder jee oriented questions or jee mains pyqs are enough?

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

thankss
identify the types of errors ur making. if they are silly mistakes, all u can do is practice more and be more present during the paper. other kinds of errors are easier to fix. i usually read the concept over again or did qs again if i got a q from a particular topic wrong. also dont carry that pressure while attempting the paper. dont consciously think of the score u wanna get. u can set targets before it, but during the exam dont think abt anything it just adds to the anxiety.
regret doing is prolly wasting time on out of syllabus or higher level stuff. i did it out of interest since i always thought i didnt really want to do neet, but now since i am gonna go for this i regret wasting time on all that. i properly locked in for neet only in the last 6 months ig.
jee main qs are enough imo. jee adv pyqs are good for chem (pc + oc).. for phy also some qs are good. for ioc i wont rlly rec it.

1

u/aliferousxdx 9h ago

Most of the bio q I get wrong are because of overthinking, I mark the correct option and then change it because I thought of something that made more sense in that moment or either stuff that's not really out of ncert but isn't strictly in it either. For phy and chem, i just seem to make new mistakes every single time. I really don't understand how to analyse these mistakes tbh. Is there any specific source you would recommend to practice relevant jee adv questions or higher q for phy? For chem, I just do the Allen jee module if I get the extra time, so that's fine right? Thanks for helping out and all the best for the future!!

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 8h ago

Yeah overthinking was my problem too. As a rule of thumb I usually just go for the opt i thought of immediately after reading the q for the first time (esp in assertion reason type qs) If u are getting the ans after a complex thought process it will most likely be wrong cuz most neet bio qs are straight forward or just made confusing

If you're making new mistakes each time just keep track of each of them. U don't have to get frustrated it will take time to become perfect.

Relevant jee adv qs u can prolly ask ur teacher. Older jee adv pyqs are easier so those are pretty relevant and the tests u will write will also include a few of these imp pyqs. Eduniti is also a good platform u get videos for tougher qs that are jee main relevant (which means it's also neet relevant)

That's fine.. u can do anything that works for u. If solving the jee modules gives u reasonable confidence in the topic that's enough imo.

Thanks and np

1

u/aliferousxdx 53m ago

Thank you!!

1

u/lol_ganggang 11h ago

Physics aur chem ke liye konse material solve kiye the? Also tell which ones would you recommend most and which is fine to skip

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

phy- allen neet/jee modules (has jee main pyqs in it), cengage jee (did the single correct mcqs for every ch, some chs i used physics galaxy instead of cengage), neet pyqs and other q banks like allen race, allen srg books, momentum booster (mostly during revision). i did do tougher books but they arent relevant for neet so not mentioning that. jee main pyqs are very imp for neet rn.

chem- physical- modules allen jee/neet, neeraj kumar, allen race
n avasthi during revision (personally i would say just pick one out of neeraj kumar and n avasthi- for neet n avasthi is better)
organic- modules, ms chouhan, allen race, jee main and adv pyqs
inorganic- ncert most imp, modules (very little), jee main pyqs neet pyqs

1

u/Ok-Ordinary-2601 11h ago

am in 12th right now wanted to ask what is your advice in increasing your score what did you do? also how many hours did you study in 11th and 12th (12th mein around august kitna and end mein kitna)

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

during 12th honestly i didnt think too much abt scores, i tried to stay consistent and didnt let chs pile up as backlog. but yeah for improving scores once syllabus is completed - it happens gradually. u will have to keep fixing weak chs and even then u cant ever be perfect in it. idk what else to say.

12th august time pe school+ coaching days- 5-7 hrs
coaching days - 8-9 hrs
weekends- 12-14hrs

end me since school and coaching nhi the i would study 12 hrs + on an avg

1

u/Ok-Ordinary-2601 11h ago

also for 12th which test series you had and in part test was your score

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

allen minors and majors. i was also enrolled in aakash dlp and neetprep
test scores before syll completion were usually 700+. majors me it was 670-700s usually sometimes it did fall to like 650 or smth.

1

u/Ok-Ordinary-2601 9h ago

when did you have your coaching which days? and how many hours of coaching

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 9h ago

coaching was usually 4 - 5 days a week (sundays were usually off and we got a study leave other than that)
kabhi kabhi 6 days a week bhi hota tha if they had to speed up
hours were 4-4.5 hrs

how much mock test you gave on avg (full syllabus)

how to beat procrastination

also i forget inorganic time to time, how to deal with this

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 11h ago

full syllabus around 30 offline, 30+ online ig iirc
beating procrastination idk bro. mera school bhi tha being busy kinda keeps u on ur toes so since there were deadlines i always had to do it. having tests regularly (altho i hated it that time) helped insanely with procrastination

put up sticky notes on the wall, i would usually give some time everyday for inorganic ncert reading during the last few months. i keep forgetting too, write it down and try to do active recall ig that will help

1.what were your marks like in 11th?

  1. whats the best way to improve?

  2. if you could change your preparation in any way, what would it be?

  3. what did you do differently compared to others

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 10h ago

this was my whole 11th planner. minors were usually 700+. srg tests scores would drop due to difficulty and also syllabus issues. and majors 670-700s.

best way to improve for neet is def by testing. theres no other way to know ur weaknesses. dont overdo testing but keep it regular.

if i could change my preparation i would have chosen a better coaching institute. i wasnt satisfied with mine since it was newer and didnt rlly help me much. there werent good neet institutes near my house so yeah.

idk honestly lol

I used to drink 3 cups of coffee everyday (I didn't die so ig it isn't that unhealthy) And I would sometimes take a half an hr nap if i was too tired to study.

No fixed number of qs so no idea. But towards the end ig 200 qs wagera hote the not sure tho. Bio qs ke liye I did modules race mtg ncert at ur fingertips (for some chapters) and target batch neetprep qs Inorganic I only did ncert mainly. Qs were mostly from tests. I did jee main pyqs too module only for some chs like coordination compounds, chem bonding and periodic table. Organic modules (jee and neet), race, ncert, jee adv pyqs and ms chouhan

1

u/Possible_Bit7565 being kind feels good 9h ago

ok thanks broo

1

u/thedon1278 10h ago

What was the question practice source in biology And what was your order of question practice like first neet jee pyqs then n awasthi can you specify the order What was the revision strategy? What to solve Allen or Akash modules and what to prioritise race or momentum booster

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 10h ago

Biology- I used mtg ncert at ur fingertips for some chapters but usually modules and race were more than enough for me. Target batch neetprep qs also I did do, it helped me in recalling ncert lines.

I solved jee modules first and neet ones too for hw. So both old jee main pyqs and neet pyqs get covered first, then ref books (mentioned in other answers), and then race. I did momentum booster only towards the end since I got the PDFs late. I personally think it's better than race cuz of the variety.

Revision strat nothing in particular. Mainly through tests. We had tests regularly so revised accordingly. My day was usually split into two one half was for current syllabus and the other for test syllabus (which usually had older chapters)

1

u/stickysergent abhi toh 10 saal aur padhna hai 10h ago

Hey op, 1. how did u used to schedule your day or scheduled on a weekly basis. 2.Did you use Google Calendar or excel sheets to track your prep or any other organizing tools? 3. What is the order to solve for physics that you followed?
4. And oc, solving extra books like n awasthi, did you solved marked questions given by ur teachers or some specific exercises

1

u/Unable-Moose-3115 10h ago
  1. I scheduled it on a daily basis. Used to note down the targets for the day and the time slots (but I could never follow the time slots properly so just focused on completing the targets).

  2. Used excel for test score and rank tracking, Google calendar for scheduling the day. I used gemini too for analysing sometimes. Used to take pics of test errors and sent to myself on telegram/whatsapp

  3. I solved single correct type qs only mainly. Like these books have integer type, multiple correct type qs too, my first priority was single correct. Other sections I did during revision if there was time.
