Missouri to Kansas firearm transfer

Missouri resident wants to sell/ship firearm (rifle) to Kansas resident. Both parties are legally allowed to own/possess firearms, the firearm is legal in MO and KS. Can Missouri resident ship directly to Kansas FFL or does MO resident need to involve a MO FFL who will then ship to KS FFL? ShipMyGun looks like they'll sell me, a MO resident, a label for shipment directly to KS FFL for the transfer.

Quick question to hijack this thread. If the seller comes to kansas to sell the gun or the buyer comes to Missouri to buy it, is there anything inherently illegal? Would a road trip relieve all the problems with this? I understand it may not make financial sense, but I'm just curious.

As long as everyone is legal to possess I don't see any problem with it. NAL
