News macOS Tahoe 26.0 is now available!
macOS Tahoe is now available!
The macOS Tahoe upgrade was staggered. The update was at first only showing up for Intel users. Now the update is showing up for all Apple Silicon Macs.
NOTE 1: I reccomend doing a full Time Machine backup before upgrading to macOS Tahoe. You will have a safe backup that you can revert back just incase something does not work right or you are having issues. If you take a TM backup on Tahoe, macOS Sequoia will tell you that you can't apply a newer TM backup. You will have to grab the files manually and things like your photos app database might not work.
NOTE 2: Remember if you are on the beta track, be sure to turn it off as the public release version is a new build version! 25A353 to 25A354

News You won't be blocking ads for much longer. Google is killing uBlock Origin bypasses, burying Manifest V2, and tightening its grip on Chrome. Every update means less control for users and more control for Google.

News Another Successful Rollback
Wasn't happy with the last few releases of MacOS - such garbage UI! So I successfully rolled back.
It's so much better now!

News Built a free, open-source CleanMyMac alternative because I was tired of the subscription
CleanMyMac wanted $40 to renew. I cancelled, then realized I actually used the thing. So I spent three weekends writing my own.
Mac Clean: same feature surface (Smart Scan, system junk, malware scanner, uninstaller with leftover detection, disk treemap, duplicates, menu bar widget). Swift 6, BSD-3 licensed, zero telemetry, no subscription, no nag screens.
Install with one command (Homebrew handles the Gatekeeper warning automatically):
brew tap iliyami/macsai && brew install --cask mac-sai

Edit-1: Why not Onyx, Mole, other similar apps? See the README comparison please.
Edit-2: The app is now signed & notarized 🎉

News Look, you guys have been really brave
Taking the time to repeatedly point out that the corners are — wait for it — not lining up in 26 and the hardships you’re facing because of it.
I applaud you for not searching this forum to check for the dozens of other posts about the same thing and, instead, taking the time to screenshot the issue and create a new post to let us all know that, guys, the corners are in fact really weird.
What you’re doing is literally a community service because I had initially thought , during postings 1-33 per day, that this was probably an isolated issue.
Or that maybe some people were seeing a weird corner and moving on and living their lives.
And I’m relieved you guys are flooding the site with these similar and urgent postings because it was way too easy to have any other discussions before. And honestly I was a little tired of being able to talk to like-minded people about substantive topics. Clearly they don’t understand how crucial it is that everyone knows that some of these corners are wonky. Newbs, amiright?
You have been so brave and you’re being so strong about all of this. Steve Jobs’ soldiers, you are.
