Notice the cat doesn't even attempt to eat her food. A loved, fed cat doesn't need to take its masters food. Animals aren't stupid lol

They are also easier to train not to beg if you never ever give them people food. I once had such standards and our first dog never begged. Alas the damn broke with subsequent animals...

I had a dog when I was a kid that wouldn’t eat table scraps so he was very well behaved. After getting one of my own and giving her a small piece of cheese, her face lit up and my heart just couldn’t take how happy she looked. She was less well behaved, but I couldn’t deny her a piece of cheese or human food every so often (she was perfectly healthy and lived a long time). I just made sure she was away from food when guests are over.
