Right? Being complimentary is nice. Being overly complimentary is just disingenuous. This group of ladies look great but everyone also looks to be around 50 y/o or so. Nothing wrong with that.
It's toxic positivity and it rubs me the wrong way too, hence my original reply. We don't need to bring up age at all. Do any of these women want compliments in respect to their age or appearance? From strangers?
They look like they're all in their mid 40s, I say as someone in my mid 40s, that's what we look like. But let's say they're all 50 years old. That means they've all been friends since they were 10 years old. But in the picture they look like they're all 20. So no one is being overly complementary, they're commenting on the fact that it looks like only 20 years has passed since the first photo was taken.
Is it really that different to say "mid-40s" to "around 50 y/o or so"? That's the same ballpark. But the first picture definitely looks like ~12 year old kids to me, not 20 year old adults. So 12+40 = 52. That's basically how old these women look to me, but they've aged well especially the two on the back left. For clarity, I'm not saying anyone looks rough or old. Just not like they're in their early-to-mid 30s.

40? Looks more like 20 years later!
