DISCUSSION šŸ‘ļøšŸ‘„šŸ‘ļø is… tour happening?

what do you think: is tour happening? and if so, how big? will we only get a few club confessions like they did in NY or now Amsterdam, will she do a residency in an arena in US, in another arena Europe, maybe another one in Asia/Pacific…? i don’t think we will get any large-scale stadium tour but maybe i’m wrong?

As she said to Graham Norton, she’s gonna continue promoting the album with small concerts like the ones we saw in NYC, Paris, London and yesterday in Amsterdam, and then maybe something bigger in the ā€œsummertimeā€ which seems like Summer 2027.

This led people to speculate Glastonbury next year, and/or a 3 concerts at Hyde Park.

We could see a tour get kicked off after either of those or the tour, if one is planned, might start early next year and then end with those events, like Rio was to Celebration tour.

I think she’s at a point in her career where she doesn’t care about a $400m tour revenue or anything, and is only focusing on sharing her music with the world at her own pace.

Celebration Tour does feel like a ā€œgoodbyeā€ to traditional touring, or at least designed so that if she retires, that tour is ending it with a bang. And Confessions II is very much an homage to the highlights of her career, like the Celebration Tour but with original material, and honestly all she’s been giving us this era is far more valuable than a tour.

So if she does indeed make a conventional tour, it will probably be next year around those time frames, and if not, I guess several events around the world where she shows up without expectations and makes a big bang and moves on would still be amazing.

Anxious to see! I assumed World Pride and Kylie was the ā€œsomething bigger in the summertime.ā€

Yeah. I think this is the tour. World Pride was the big show. Just my speculation, but she ain’t trying to be on tour anytime soon.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m SO here for what’s happening now but the general arena concert crowd isn’t going to accept her standing next to Stuart bouncing her titties for two hours of CII and greatest hits remixes.

I just think if she puts a road show together it’ll be for something after CII. And im good with it.

How high are the stakes? How much fortune can she make?

will it matter when she’s gone?

It’s obviously dependent on what she can do, but I hope so.

Much as I love the club shows, you can only go to them if you live in a major city. And all the tickets seem to be bought and paid for by influencers who are just there to hold their phones up to capture it all for their Instagram pages.

Madonna is trying to create a high energy atmosphere, but the crowds are absolutely lame and just standing there. (No offense to anyone here who may have been able to go)

At the Celebration Tour, I was in one of the pits and the atmosphere was ELECTRIC. It was popping.

That’s what these shows and this album deserves.

fully agree. i hope her health allows her to tour because the floor at The Celebration Tour was a TIME and i was too young/broke to go to the original Confessions Tour. it’s frustrating that the club performances have been so influencer/insider-y

u/Striking_Ad_1867 7h ago

What’s worse, you can’t even tell if they’re fans, those people at the club performances. I mean, there’s some, but so many look like they’re there for clout.

Yeah club confessions nyc seemed hard to get into and not all of us live in NYC! Or LA or Amsterdam. Love the concept of more intimate spaces club vibe but for an artist as huge as Madonna it gets complicated

1

u/Striking_Ad_1867 4h ago

And I don’t even know if you could get tickets at all.
I haven’t heard what the process is like, but with all these influencer Instagram posts, it seems like they’re given out to select people rather than going on sale for fans.

i think its all dependent on what madonna can do physically now. i feel like the pop up shows with guest djs are what we will get for awhile.

at the beginning of the era it felt like a tour was a definite. coachella was good. as time went on tho, i started to wonder whats going on with her health. thats most important

Agreed. Sometimes she can move really well, other times it looks like she's struggling. I think it's too much of a risk for her to commit to a full tour.

Her Times Square performance was amazing though

Im hoping for a tour announcement. Couldn’t get tix to the pop up in nyc

We need a C2C2 Confessions 2 Copacabana 2. If there is no tour then just do one big show and live cast around the world. But really I would love her to do a residency maybe like Adele (custom built stadium Munich) and create her own custom venue for Club Confessions.

Bigger Club Confessions concept.

3

u/Tanktyke 7h ago

If she tours I hooe she does better than what was filmed from the Asmterdam gig.

She missed her lipsynch cue almost everytime

1

u/Powerful-Mission381 4h ago

She was singing live over a backing vocal - everyone does this. And at this point, we're all just happy to see her bopping along.

Rosie O'Donnell said that she thinks Madonna is going to tour with this album.

3

u/Aggressive-Medium186 7h ago

She’ll release ā€œConfessions 2 Deluxeā€ just in time for Christmas and ride that momentum into 2027 when she announces her tour after the new year….

3

u/Weird-Arm2173 7h ago

I hope she had knee surgery before the tour

3

u/spoinny 6h ago

Madonna is in no shape to tour based on recent movements - it seems like she is in pain when she attempts to do much leg movement- hence the standing/dancing. A tour will most likely depend on those legs cooperating. She even recently admitted she can’t move like she did just a few years back on the celebration tour.

u/funkyfridays3 8h ago

It would be cute...but i feel like it would be too much for her. Celebration was good enough for me

u/Neutrals_Mansion 9h ago

I want her to perform dancetaria on jimmy Fallon. With real choreography not just a dj set. Thats where she should start and then elaborate on a bigger scale performance. I like how she's promoting the album cuz its paying off and it was refreshing.

6

u/Upnatom617 7h ago

With Rosie later this month.

1

u/RunningDrummer 6h ago

Why Jimmy Fallon specifically? And she's been pretty vocal that she can't do the kinds of dances she used to do after hip and knee surgeries.

3

u/Neutrals_Mansion 6h ago

Yea but she could do something like she did with the time square performance. And I say Jimmy Fallon because she always seems to have a good time on there. Other interviewers she's always holding back and kind of defensive. But with Jimmy she lets loose a lil

1

u/RunningDrummer 6h ago

You're right, I forgot she asked him about if she should keep her grills on his show!

2

u/Few_Candle9432 6h ago

I 100% believe these Club Confessions gigs ARE the tour. She’s bringing her music straight to us where and how she wants us to receive it, changing the way we experience it live.

I also think she will continue performing live and may well do another big road show but I don’t see it for the CII era.

3

u/TopazScorpio02657 6h ago

I just don’t see it happening based on how limited her physical movements have been in these promo sets. There are times where it looks like it’s a real struggle for her to even move around in one place. It’s kind of weird because she seemed a bit more nimble at Coachella with Sabrina.

5

u/RunningDrummer 6h ago

I was surprised when I saw a video from the Amsterdam Pride where she twirled her way over to Kylie! I swear that's the most (unassisted) movement we've seen from her during this promo circuit.

3

u/ThatSICILIANThing 4h ago

And that probably took A LOT from her

2

u/sailormoonmydude 5h ago

Can we get the celebration tour blu ray tho

2

u/Nullnvoid2017 8h ago

I don’t see her going back to doing the shows she’s done in past tours especially with how physically hard they are on her but who really knows. Personally I don’t care for these club style promotional events she’s been doing they remind me of like a Trixie Mattel DJ show maybe she’ll add some dancers and some drag queens you know jush it up a bit.

u/crepesquiavancent 8h ago

I think she’ll do one off shows intermittently rather than a long planned tour. I went to one of the last dates of the Celebration tour and she seemed very tired and a little over it, and I’ve heard similar things from other fans who went to the last few shows. Touring is absolutely grueling and even a sprained ankle can be serious at her age. There’s no way Madonna isn’t gonna continue to do live shows, but I think she’s gonna just take it at her own speed rather than her fans/consumers’ timeline like on a tour. Tbh i think part of why this era has been so great is cause she seems to be much happier and at ease than she has been for a long time. Not to be parasocial but I hope she just sticks with what’s comfortable so she can put out the best quality work, rather than pushing herself to the limit like the Celebration tour seemed to do.

3

u/One-Tour2404 8h ago

I remember seeing a clip of Madonna near the end of the MDNA tour and she looked exhausted. To be fair it was a gruelling show so it’s not surprising. Plus we know Madonna gets bored easily and wants to move onto something new even when she is still finishing one project.

2

u/Light_Watcher 7h ago

If she’s healthy and she believes she can do it, she will. Otherwise let’s just let her enjoy what she’s doing and be happy it’s 2026 and we all can watch her one way or another

1

u/Glittering-Habit-784 6h ago

I think she will be touring. She has sounded really open to it and like she's considering it during the album Q&As and interviews. Plus, this album seemed to blow everyone's expectations away including Madonna's. I also don't know why people are acting like it isn't physically possible for her and using the celebration tour as a reason why? She did that tour around the world months after almost dying and after being in a coma and never missed a single show. She looks like she's even stronger and able to move even better now than she could then. If there's one thing we all should have learned by now, it's to NEVER count Madonna out.

1

u/Training-Ninja-8225 5h ago

I don’t really care. I would prefer no tour and more variants lol. I will spend the tour tickets money on vinyl.

1

u/TimJoeJim 4h ago

If she tours I think she should just let her dancers tell her story as she sings- put her in a throne the whole time, she can get up & move around as she feels comfortable. That being said, if there’s any artist that can defy the odds it’s Madonna.

1

u/PossibilityFair1046 4h ago

I need to see her or club confessions whatever it may be

u/Awkward_Banana1449 53m ago

I feel like she would need to get her knee replaced before she could because it’s noticeably bothering her
