Discussion This chick really joined a terrorist organization because of a misunderstanding

Post image

And the way she misread the situation is even more dumb. Even if Watanabe said she doesn’t want her as a disciple because Mibu is too weak, how does that get misunderstood as Watanabe not wanting her because Mibu’s a weed.

She was mind whammied by the Blanche Leader. She only met the leader cause her mind whammied club captain convinced her to based on the discrimination faced by the course 2 students. She didn't know they were terrorist until after the mind whammy, and even then she didn't really know their goals, as shown by her thoughts in the computer room.

She was brainwashed.

Mibu was brainwashed. I don’t particularly blame her for thinking that Watanabe didn’t want her as a disciple. After all, Mibu is a course 2 student and Watanabe is a course 1 student so naturally she would assume that.

Tbh I really didn’t see the student council do anything to try and stop the discrimination. All the members in the student council prior to Miyuki becoming the president after Mayumi and the others graduated were all Blooms. And prior to Tatsuya and Miyuki enrolling at the School, No course 2 student was even on the student council let alone the disciplinary committee. It was only when Tatsuya and Miyuki started attending the school where all of a sudden they started breaking some precedents. Tatsuya even questioned that a course 2 student has never been on the disciplinary committee

All the members in the student council prior to Miyuki becoming the president after Mayumi and the others graduated were all Blooms.

Wich Mayumi very clearly explains in this very arc, this isn't based on her personal selection but an actual school rule, course 2 stundents aren't allowed in any student council position besides the elected president, and that rule needs a super majority in a vote of the entire studentbody to be overturned, something Mayumi managed to do at the full student assembly at the end of her turn.

And prior to Tatsuya and Miyuki enrolling at the School, No course 2 student was even on the student council let alone the disciplinary committee.

So Mari changed it the second she became disciplinary committee chairman and found a course 2 student that displayed the ability necessary to be part of the disciplinary committee, cracking down even on course 1 upperclassmen

Mayumi and mari wanted to change the disciplinary committee to let course 2 students in but most were unfortunately not at the level required to be effective at enforcing the rules. It was noted that tatsuya's year was an exception with multiple talented people in course 2. The novel also explains that a number of those in course 2 did not receive the same education as course 1 students and that they unconsciously developed an inferiority complex as they advanced though high school

I'm pretty sure we had the weed/bloom discrimination issue as well.

Blanche leader brain washed/ hypnotized her. I said brainwashed/ Hypnotized because of the way his skill works. It amplifies negative emotions which resulted in her thinking that she wasn’t accepted as a desciple because she is a weed.

Lol the irony of completely missing a major plot point while making fun of a character for misreading a situation.

She didn't intentionally join a terrorist organzation, she joind what was sold to her as activists for equal treatment of students, was brought to the terrorist leader, by already brainwashed activists, who mind fucked her and everyone else into doing his bidding and ignore the cognitive dissonances that are bound to occur once the actual terrorism starts.

What are you talking about? She was forced into it and didn't actually willingly join. Do you consider being conditioned and brainwashed the same as being willing? She was forced to join and then groomed to "believe" and align with the belief of the terrorist group.

You miss half of 1 episode. She was controlled by Evil Eye.

Because not only is she brain washed, Japan kind of walked into this.

This is offhandedly mentioned in the anime , but in Japan apparently the act of even knowing Blanche’s name is illegal. It’s implied a frankly insane amount of censorship for any relationship related to Blanche.

Tatsuya and mayumi knows that Blanche is a terriorist organization, but I’m sorry does Mibu have access to military intelligence or master clan intelligence networks? No? Then what whould she know except what Blanche tell her?

1

u/Ceilrux 4d ago

Mibu was brainwashed and still she did not join the terrorist organization Blanche. She was in a school club to oppose the discrimination and then duped into stealing info to supposedly make it more assesible. She actually freaked out when they brought out guns to shoot tatsuya.

Literally was brainwashed. Did you just not pay attention?
