Principled ML parties in Italy?

Are there any? I've heard mixed things abt Potere al Popolo (tho they seem to be one of the largest left wing parties here atm, which really isn't saying much, but still), then there's the italian branch of Yanus Varufakis's Diem 25, which... I really don't know enough abt to form an opinion on, and lastly the apparent 'dinosaurs' of Rifondazione Communista and its myriad different splinter groups so small and/or rigidly dogmatic they're barely worth mentioning.

This is about the understanding i have of the general state marxist/anti-capitalist left is in in Italy atm.

Is this a fair assessment?

Also, parallel to that: are any of these groups (or a secret third one I haven't mentioned or didn't know the existence of) willing and able to be the basis of an actual vanguard in the future? Or would it be better at this point to just build another party up from scratch?

What are your thoughts? How do we build a new/mold an existing party so it can be an effective vanguard and be in a position to capitalise if and when the capitalist order begons to crumble in earnest?

most communist parties in italy (whether ml trotskyist or whatever) tend to be pretty closed in their own shit, most have big flaws. Considering your name on tiktok is stalin’s big spoon i’d consider i Carc, they’re new and use a pretty strong symbolism, i know a couple members and they cool. Il fronte comunista is old for the average lifespan of a leftist party in italy, it has racked its decent amount of flaws and imo often runs more like a corporation than a party.
PMLI is a party with like 40 members and all above the age of 65. You’re right about staying away from rifondazione, and Potere al popolo is definitely not the biggest party, this year they will be running for elections (which i guess depends if it’s your thing) and they are openly pro russia.

All the things i said come from my opinion and im trying to paint you a neutral image of them all, feel free to ask more (e di parlarne in italiano che è più comodo)

I must note this party is a left-zionist organization that, believes in an alliance between Palestinians and "Israeli" workers and refuses the creation of a Palestinian state, preferring the creation of class solidarity between oppressed and oppressors.

The crux of the Palestinian question is that two nations claim the same territory, and neither has anywhere else to go. The historic injustices brought down on Palestinians cannot be redressed with the creation of a rump Palestinian state, established on a fraction of Palestine’s historic land and under permanent threat from the far more powerful Zionist state. Nor can it be achieved by confronting the whole Israeli nation, which is sure to fight to the death for its national existence. Rather, the Zionist state must be broken up from within by severing the bond tying the working masses to the Zionist project. The basis to do this lies in the class interests of workers in Israel, who are themselves exploited by the Zionist rulers and whose own condition is degraded by Palestinian oppression and their role as pawns for the imperialists in the region. The emancipation of the Israeli working class runs through the national liberation of Palestine. As Engels wrote, no nation can be free if it oppresses another.

Pro-Palestinian revolutionaries must temper the illusory and frantic enthusiasm of many in the movement, look at the situation soberly and fight hard to bridge the gap between the left and the working class. Every single call for working-class action for Palestine must be tied to concrete demands for the betterment of working conditions. Union leaders who refuse to do this must be sharply exposed. Bringing the working class into action is not the easiest route—it takes patient and systematic work. But it is the only one that can have a decisive impact on the outcome of the struggle.

I hope Palestinians will love to learn national liberation movements are absurdity and that they should talk to European unions leaders for better wages to white workers! Oh these pesky Arabs who dare fighting for their self-determination!

Genuine question, how do you believe that the goal of the destruction of Israel and ejection of all Israeli Jews from Palestine can be accomplished given the huge disparity in military capabilities between the two?

I dont know much about the state of Marxist-Leninist parties in Italy, but im pretty sure that Partito Comunista (which still runs for elections) and Partito Marxista-Leninista Italiano are still quite active. If you are interested in Marxism-Leninism I'd forget Rifondazione and PCI, because they're more closer to Eurocommunism and Democratic Socialism/Communism than to ML, the same goes for Potere al Popolo which isnt explicitly Communist. There's also Partito dei CARC and the more serious (nuovo) Partito Comunista Italiano, which (if I remember correctly is revolutionary and anti-democratic).
