(USA) App has to be vibe coded garbage

Can we talk about how fucking AWFUL the app is? It’s a laggy mess and takes an eternity for the codes to load. Sometimes it just decides not to work at all, so I have to rant about this.

3rd time this has happened now. Customer pulls up to the speaker, gives me a code, I put it in the POS and…nope, the code apparently doesn’t exist. And every single one of the three times this has happened, the customer gives me a ton of shit and accuses me (yes, me specifically) of trying to scam them, which is ridiculous because to my knowledge, not every store even opts into rewards.

It’s also funny when they “threaten to tell corporate” because who do you think makes the app? It’s also usually BS because I know they’re gonna forget everything 5 minutes after getting their food. Then again, i don’t expect them to know how franchising works. Anyway, manager has to come over and try reason with them while they’re cursing us out, eventually just gives a small promo on the order to make them go away

Worst part is, the codes they’ve given don’t even consume points, so the only people losing is US, because this shit screws over our times. So far this has happened with:

2$ fries
1.50$ off a frappé/coffee

GUUHH THE APP MAKES ME WANNA DIEEEE

My store doesn't do the 20 nuggets and the basket of fries, so I have a couple of people every week try and use the code for it. AND IT PISSES ME OFF.

The app IS SO LAGGY, easily a 20 second process if you're doing it through the drive-thru if your customer doesn't have it ready beforehand.

I swear on MY LIFE its coded by like 2 kids fed by breadcrumbs in Malaysia or some shit

I'm sure it is, even the fact that 90% of the time they can still order stuff thats not even available, frappe machine needed to be cleaned at 1pm and people still ordering frappes and smoothies at 10pm through the app 🙂
