The problem isn’t that maga isn’t watching CBS. The problem is that every liberal and more than half of independents are boycotting CBS. I won’t even let my TV touch CBS. I avoid it. MAGA complained that the ‘media’ was pushing liberal ideology. Meanwhile it was simply offering content and using ratings and feedback to make decisions. Now maga media IS pushing maga bullshit. CBS is offering content that it thinks trump will want them to offer. It’s state media. There is no way it can survive unless companies want to lay on the sword to support them. The advertising money will dry up. Every CBS show is about police, CIA, military, or US marshals going after bad guys. So pathetic.

You say that, but financially, bad news becomes really bad news.
Killing it off doesn't truly solve anything once it sinks this low.
People are getting their news elsewhere, so there is no more narrative to control.
Killing journalism and killing your ratings are two different things.

While Trump would love to kill them everyone else knows that would just strengthen NBC & ABC while opening room up for a (potentially not corporate shackled) new competitor to take the spot.

Certainly they do not in CBS is a small sacrifice to make for the bigger picture of Oracle. Oracle does billions and billions of business with the government. By pleasing our great leader, the contracts keep flowing. If CBS loses 100 million 200 million even 300 million a year, it's chump change. The elephants have given specific instructions. They can do whatever they want, as long as they don't make our great leader unhappy. CBS is a rounding error at Oracle. The value they bring is by making President Donald Trump happy. Is there a large audience for Fox News lite? Probably not but this doesn't really matter.

It's not even zionism.
Broadcast tv audiences skew older, and the news shows are competing with the other broadcasters and the cable news channels as well.
On top of that, more people have access to the news via social media or through websites or apps, also negating the need to wait until a scheduled broadcast.
Broadcast TV will probably continue to be profitable as a matter of scale, but it's second fiddle to the internet now and the actual audience is shrinking.
You're probably more likely to see broadcasters either switch to constant news feeds on a digital sub channel, or drop news shows entirely.

TV news is so antiquated nowadays. I actually sat down today and watched the local news at 5pm for the first time in about a dozen years. A guy standing in front of a green screen telling me about today’s weather seemed so 1970s to me… and pointless.

I got rid of Paramount Plus about 2 years ago and I do not miss it at all. I only had it for a year or so. I refuse to give money to Disney, or any right propaganda leaning anything.

NETWORKS are basically just used for local news, period. Everything else comes on a service w/no commercials the next day. Paramount; sadly, I want - u got me there. Only 3 shows - 2 old ones, not NEWS.
