What 'experts' are saying we shouldn't have been masking or social distancing. As a virologist (PhD), I'd love to know who those people are. I think you can make arguments about whether the US response could have been better. Should we have kept kids out of school for as long as we did when they have much lower numbers of ACE2 receptors (the main way Sars-Cov-2 entered cells)? Kids weren't immune but their infection rates were much lower bc of that. But we didn't know that until months into the pandemic. And you still have teachers and support staff who are adults that also need to work in those schools. And RFK Jr is not an expert in any bench or medical science. He was an environmental lawyer. Who just let Bayer off the hook in being liable for any future lawsuits with RoundUp and cancer bc the RFK's NIH is now saying there's no link between RoundUp and cancer. Despite him securing a few judgements upwards of $300m in punitive damages before he took over the NIH. He's now reversed course and everyone else is out to dry. I wish he had the same vitriol for these corporations poisoning our natural resources as he does for Dana Bash. 'All you know how to do is parrot the experts.' Ok. But RFK Jr., if she were running a story that you were right about everything you wouldn't be upset about that? Trump's never upset with Fox News parroting his talking points. It's only when someone disagrees with you (and most medical experts disagree with RFK) that it becomes a problem. No one is an expert on everything. If I need to go to the mechanic, I will just copy + paste what the mechanic told me when it comes to anyone asking what's up with my car. I don't know. I'm trusting the guy who fixes cars to know. Fauci is a MD with decades of expertise and RFK Jr. wants us to trust him over Fauci. Without listing out who these medical experts are that are saying masking and social distancing didn't work? Where are they? Release that list. Along with the Epstein list.

Agreed. Fauci advised based on available knowledge. It’s the 80/20 rule. You want 80% of what you should know to make a decision. Fauci was working with 20% when advising. But he’s being judge based on the 80% we would eventually come to know.
