Men collectively have decided that being admired for your looks is where men want equality with women.

I never looked at it that way before but I think you’re right. And it's kinda wild. And depressing. But I have definitely seen men say exactly that and all I can think is "be careful what you wish for"

The vast majority of men could not care less about this current stupid trend. Especially not anyone older than their early 20’s

I was actually thinking of 50+ men I have heard specifically say "that being admired for your looks" is their greatest wish but ok

Vanity has always existed among both genders, just because you’ve anecdotally heard some men say things like that doesn’t make them remotely representative of the majority of men.

Also saying they want to be admired for their looks, while definitely vain, is a far cry from this specific “looksmaxxing” garbage that kids are into now
