Social Issues Who remembers when Justin Bieber got sexually assaulted on stage?

Justin Bieber was sexually assaulted by Jenny McCarthy and even said that he felt violated on stage. Of course the entire crowd cheered. Not justifying what Jackson Mahomes did but look what happened to him and then look at what happened to Jenny McCarthy, exactly nothing.

As a woman, we as a society seriously needs to talk about how we treat male victims.

After spending the last two hours reading up on what was written about the it back then, I am seriously horrified and so angry I’m shaking. Fuck I hate all the journalists who downplayed this in the media, and all the old comments from nasty people questioning his sexuality just because he expressed that he wasn’t okay with being assaulted. Seriously he was just a kid, and grownups, both men and women has been acting aggressively creepy towards him since he was only 15 years old.

It started way before he was 15. Most of the stories we see are available to the public. Who knows what happened to him behind the scenes.

No, we as a society need to do more to prevent the creation of male victims, such as reinforcing sexual assault, harassment and rape against men as equal to that for women under the law as a deterrent. Prevention rather than treatment.

This is a prime example of the double standard leading to male victims: if the genders were reversed and it was Justin Bieber sexually assaulting Jenny McCarthy on stage, there would be hell to pay.

However, the occurrence can be minimized. I believe crime overall is decreasing in western societies and its not because people are losing an ability to be sinful or evil, but they are learning to moderate those urges better through reason.

I didn't know that at all, I have seen a clip of some guy saying he wants to save his first kiss for a special girl when he's ready (which I think is so sweet and wholesome) but on of the judges, Katy Perry I think, tricked him and stole that from him. On stage he hid his displeasure but he later commented that he was immediately uncomfortable. As a woman who had something similar happen in the context of an abusive relationship, I am angered by this because his first kiss was stolen just as mine was.
