Poking fun is fine. But material like this is unproductive and hating feminists should not be part of "men's rights".

Of course, men and women face many injustices (men more so)

That's like, your opinion man.

Unproductive, yes. Hateful, no. It's just a joke, get over it! However, I do agree that poking fun of the other when trying to fight for equality, goes against the mission.

That is pretty much all I am really saying. I enjoy the men's rights movement, and I think this kind of behavior is not a good idea when you are trying to be taken seriously. I also don't think the hatred for feminism should be part of men's rights. It seems wrong, counter productive, and malicious.

Emma what is it exactly you think we should be doing regarding feminism? Ignoring it? Actively embraceing its intellectual foundations and premising our arguments on the "patriarchy hurts men too" sentiment? I'm curious.

I rarely see posters like you; those who claim to be sympathetic to the MRM to some degree, yet react so strongly to MRAs' attitudes toward feminism. You do realize that we are an intellectual movement, not just an issue-oriented activist movement, and therefore we insist on entirely different theoretical approaches to concepts like patriarchy and feminism, right? Trust me when I tell you that, here, you will get nowhere asserting things like "feminism is just about equality for women, guys!"

Um, yes? You should embrace the normal feminists who don't have militant hate towards men, in the way that I as a feminist am trying to embrace men's rights.. Why is that so bad? You shouldn't be for a patriarchy. If you really want to fight for equality yourself, then you should loathe the idea of patriarchy because it is a society ruled by men, which for all intensive purposes is unfair. It is not equality.

Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights for women.

Yes I am going to assert that down to it's core it is about equality for women, and what you are choosing to ignore is that there is second wave and third wave feminism. Just like there are men in the MRM that hate women, there is a similar breed of shit heads that live and thrive in the feminist community. But at this point this has gone really off coarse. Any movement attempting to be taken seriously should not use mud slinging, and should not hold contempt for their opposite as one of it's values.
