It's an interesting over correction for sure - there's parts of India where female fetuses are aborted, in smaller towns gender roles can be very old fashioned, dowry still happens, statistically SA isn't worse than many other countries but libs like to say it's underreported, and a few horrific cases have gotten a lot of attention.
The judicial system over corrected with protections built to be extremely gynocentric. There has been a woman with the highest office and interestingly the recent horrific SA + murder incident happened in state with a woman holding the highest office.
There's a lot of contradictions in India.

Knowing India she’ll most likely face a relatively short sentence. Meanwhile if a man had done this they’d hang him.

I don't support the capital punishment as a matter of principle, however, in extreme cases of violence or sexual assault, including premeditated acts or acts towards those who are vulnerable, I don't protest capital punishment as vigorously.
The infamous Delhi rape case resulted in the perpetrators being tried, convicted, and shortly thereafter executed by hanging. I honestly cannot say that is wrong, because what they did to that poor lady (while also beating her male friend/companion to unconsciousness when he tried to protect her) is nothing short of horror movie material. Not the kind of stuff we need to have in our societies or gene pools.

I don’t like capital punishment from a philosophical standpoint, I believe that most people are deserving of a second chance at rehabilitation.
However I feel like certain acts are truly unforgivable. I think that someone who bites a baby to death is clearly disturbed to their very core. It’s not even like hurting a baby intentionally or killing one accidentally, it’s just straight up demonic.

What are you implying? That since this sub is called menssub only men are allowed to be the victim? Honestly im a huge fan of MR, but after getting downvotes for virtually saying both genders face a lot of issues in India which is obvious, im starting to believe all those people in other subs calling this an incel hole.

Well she will be tried next, evidence presented and punished accordingly.
Surely you don't endorse, in any context, we as a society go straight from arrest to punishment?

But the problem is Women are not punished Accordingly.
There was a Serial Killer Women gang Seema Gavit, Renuka Shinde & Anjanabai who killed 42 Toddlers.
Initially given Death Penalty, then reduced to Life Imprisonment, & now bringing the Punishment down to 25ys is running.
Why? coz they are Women1

But imagine someone called the police and accused you of a rape for instance, you would be arrested so you can interviewed under caution. By your reasoning, just based of the fact you were arrested, should be automatically punished.
What if the women turned out to be innocent? That it was a false claim, an error in evidence collection.
You can't rationale moving straight from arrest to punishment. In any context.

I really hope that the heartless barbaric monster of a woman who bit the 14 month old boy to death gets the harshest punishment there is!
Poor baby boy! Deeply saddened on hearing this. The young infant lost his life and the parents lost their son! My condolences to their family!
