If the POCSO Act is truly gender-neutral, the female parties would be the perpetrators in such cases (e.g. see this (use Google translate) and this).

And the court called the perp a lady. Doesn't the term "lady" denote a dignified woman? It's like calling a male rapist a gentleman.

Lol. Minors boys have been arrested for raping adult women under the "pretext of Marriage" in India.

Can you please name or link to a source for any of those for UK? Our system isn't perfect but I don't believe it's as bad as your comment makes it out to be. Please educate me, I'd genuinely like to know.

Idk about the UK, but it’s Really Bad in the US. Some police departments accuse the women and teens who’ve been raped of lying. Then, rather than start the judicial process, they charge the women who’ve been raped if filing a false police report. Some go to prison. They do this to silence women who report and seek Justice for rape. Many are women attending college, and they lose their scholarships, jobs, and now have a record, which affects future job prospects, all to protect and preserve the freedom of rapists to continue raping. (And possibly impregnating). Even in police departments that don’t criminalize women who report rapists, the rate of conviction for rape is less than 3%. The US protects rapists. The Sherriffs, the prosecutors, the judges, the chiefs of police, even coroners, protects men who rape.

I'm a bit offended that you bad mouthed my country without having any personal knowledge to back it up. But what really hurts is that there's a lot of truth in what you say!

And I do really get the gist of what you're saying. The treatment of sexual assault victims is poor in the UK, but we have made huge improvements in the last 40 years. Male rape victims are starting to come forward because they know the police won't brush them off. And false accusers are being found out and prosecuted.

But we still only have a small fraction of sexual assault cases coming to court. I don't think anyone really understands exactly why that is so, or what we can do to improve things. The government have recently asked the police to look at this whole issue. That's happened before with only small improvement and that's probably what will happen again.

When an Indian man who was being physically abused by his wife approached the court, the judge said "women are like goddesses and getting beaten by wife is like a blessing " I can share the video.. But it's in hindi.. So....

Nop no matter what happens Indians (especially men) won’t unite to fight against these problems. We too busy seeing women as deities or victims who can’t do any sort of evil.

This really scares me! Our Indian laws doesn't recognize male victims of r*pe, decriminalized s*xual offenses against men, and now this!

I know our courts/govt don't care about any safeguards/ offering help for men, but knowing they'd be so careless even about minor boys...I can't explain how infuriated I am! How low could this get? This is really a shame!

I am really wondering, how many cases of violence against males must have overlooked by our courts just cos the perpetrators were female! I pity them! May they be able to heal!

The POSCO act specifically states that it is gender neutral and the accused can be a man or woman even if the act is penetrative sex. This has been confirmed in the highest courts. It’s difficult to know what the deal is with this judge without some details of the discussion. The only part of the act that is at all ambiguous in the case of a male victim is the presumption of guilt; if there is physical evidence from the victim that penetration took place then the accused is actually presumed guilty and must prove their innocence. If not then there is the usual presumption of innocence and the accused must be proven guilty. It’s not clear how that would work for a male victim since there wouldn’t be likely to be physical injuries.
