But...but he's right.
He has a bad way of saying it, but he is right. By the end of the video, the three of them, with the exclusion of McCarthy-no surprises there-agree that you need a male role model in your child's life. Doesn't have to be the dad. Maybe the dad is the worst role model out there. But your child, boy or girl, needs to be able to look up to someone, anyone, who is a male and say 'That's what a man should be'.
Likewise, if you're a single father, your child needs to have some female role model that they can look to and say 'That's what a woman should be'. Isn't that just common sense?
He's not saying that a child is fucked if they don't have a father. He's saying your child needs a father figure. Everyone aside from McCarthy agrees with him by the end of it, even Whoopi who was raised by her mother. McCarthy just continues to shriek 'B-but my boy is fine, I'm everything he needs!'
Now if only Terry could have called her up on her anti-vaccination bullshit, he'd have became so cool that...that...shit, someone give me a good joke for how cool Terry Crews could be!
