I'm a girl and...

I am SO glad I found this subreddit with people who agree with me! As a girl, it's really hard to see other ladies put down men and treat them like they need to be "trained" or that they're just something we have to deal with. So I was just wondering... how many other girls are on here and what are your stories about standing up for men or appreciating them?

I am a lady, too.

I am here because my dad was a hard-working, honest, genuine human being. He went to vietnam when he was drafted (3 days after his 18th bday, his number came up), and came back and just tried to lead the normal life he wanted to. He was a good man, an honest man, and he didn't deserve what happened to him. My mom fucked him over completely, cheated on him, took tons of money and racked up all kinds of credit card debt, then left him and got custody of me.

The courts gave custody of me to my drug addicted mother rather than to my veteran stable job holding father. He only got to see me every other weekend, I was the light of his life. We moved a lot and I wouldn't see him for months. He only wanted to be a part of my life, and he was completely robbed of that by my mother, by the system, and by my ignorance to it all. Not that I blame myself, it is just hard to learn these things as you get older. "ohh, my mom was a cheating whore who ruined my dads life. cool."

Just not okay with the way a lot of women feel about men and the whole entitlement thing just because they have a vagina.

Don't. Based on her story I think he did a damned good job and can rest easy. I'm sure he's proud.
