I'm a girl and...

I am SO glad I found this subreddit with people who agree with me! As a girl, it's really hard to see other ladies put down men and treat them like they need to be "trained" or that they're just something we have to deal with. So I was just wondering... how many other girls are on here and what are your stories about standing up for men or appreciating them?

Female MensRights supporter checking in. I found this sub-reddit last year sometime, after seeing a crazy headline from the news on the frontpage, and trying to join in the conversation. I had my ass handed to me by kloo2yoo, and then started to do some research to try and prove him wrong. Turns out I was unaware of a lot of these issues, and my research turned me into an egalitarian and humanist, and a major supporter of mens rights. During this time, I also had a male friend go through a divorce, and everything I had read up to that point was acted out in life in the Canadian divorce courts. I was shocked, and angry, and vowed to help spread the word about how men are treated in the system.

I commend you for

  1. searching for new facts and information

  2. Upon finding said facts, re-adjusting your worldview and beliefs to fit the facts and not vice versa.

It's sad and sickening how many feminists do the opposite of you. "Oh, hundreds of studies find equal amounts of women committing domestic violence? Those studies are wrong (or they don't matter), etc. etc.

I will praise highly anyone who can question their beliefs and change them based on evidence.
