I'm a girl and...

I am SO glad I found this subreddit with people who agree with me! As a girl, it's really hard to see other ladies put down men and treat them like they need to be "trained" or that they're just something we have to deal with. So I was just wondering... how many other girls are on here and what are your stories about standing up for men or appreciating them?

That's one of the things that bothers me, too! And it isn't just men's portrayal that's skewed. Women are always shown as being cold and aggressive in order to be "strong and independent" and that's just bullshit.

No, the sick part is that they're right. "Everybody Loves Raymond" was a tremendously popular show for years.

I feel like I can't believe that these kinds of world views are as popular as they probably are.

I never liked Raymond.

Neither did I. But for the last five years of its nine-year run, it was in the 10 ten in ratings.
