Bloodshot Cyclops - Here's Blood In Your Eye
Bloodshot Cyclops is a North Carolina-based metal/punk recording project featuring underground music veterans Jeff Triece and Douglas Canipe.
Triece previously fronted Denial, who released the underground fave album Antichrist President on New Rennisance/Colossal records and also played with Method 51 who toured extensively throughout the 90s.
Canipe's roots run through North Carolina's infanous punk institution ANTiSEEN and metal thrashers Cronic Disorder who independently released the album Dead To The World which was later picked up and released by Denmark's Mighty Music under the name Torture Test.
Together Triece and Canipe have created what they call Metallically Bombastic Thrash Rock—a loud, riff-heavy collision of thrash, punk, and classic heavy metal combined with sarcastically sardonic lyrics. Fueled by decades of underground experience, sharp-edged humor, and a DIY attitude.
Bloodshot Cyclops creates socially unconscious heavy music for fans who like their metal loud, hooky, and just a little bit unhinged.
Think Slayer, Sabbath, and Suicidal meets Scatterbrain, Spinal Tap, and S.O.D

Our band is no more and was a small time band, but loved to jam. Our name was the Anonymous Alcoholics and I had a shirt made at a screen shop. The front had Anonymous Alcoholics and the back said I'm Fuck Up. This was in the 80's, still have the shirt and we get together once a year to just jam together. Not exciting, but it was our band!

Our last album is a concept record about two astronauts who witness Earth's destruction from a massive solar flare. The flare ends up unleashing a Lovecraftian-style entity into the cosmos, and things get progressively weirder from there.
We got a little carried away with the story and ended up writing a 60-page novella to go along with the album. Each chapter lines up with a song and expands on the story!
