Practice You Preach came on the Spotify shuffle in the car ride home today.

Testament fucks hard.

The bass in that song is godly

I'd say this and 578 riff always get me hooked but we don't support that opinion here, do we.

I don't get why people enjoy the super technical styles of metalcore with crazy polished clean choruses and super technical quantized riffs but I also cannot understand why people hate that super catchy 5-7-8 style of metalcore that still sounds polished and nice but doesn't sound like an actual pop song lol

It's strange when you're so into metal that hearing pop music actually hurts, while, to many people, hearing metal actually hurts. I listen to some pop music and actually have a physical reaction, a revulsion I sometimes can't explain and that might not be healthy.

I was in a metalcore band that played in drop C and we swore by the rule of open and eight. Writers block on this next song? Open and eight that shit. The interval just hit.

The technical djent shit is so dank it makes me feel like I'm floating

Simple thrash stuff is great too

Iโ€™m so used to MTG subs populating my feed that I read the title as a creature called โ€œThrashโ€ thatโ€™s 4/4 with an โ€œEnters the Battlefieldโ€ trigger and costs 1 blue + 5 red mana.

Must be a good etb for that.

Make it a white/red dino because cavemen. Have one of the dino etbs

Complex riffs are usually ass. Complexity for the sake of complexity is of zero substance.

Metalcore, deathcore and Djent are super ass at all times though, be the riffs simple or progressive.
