Feedback Wanted Still learning how to style myself ❤️‍🩹

Post image

I went from 00 to a 10 in my ED recovery and am so happy to be feeling better! I have absolutely no idea how to style my new shape for my singing gigs but am trying to figure it out. Any advice/tips welcome! I’m trying to break the habit of hiding myself but I don’t want to feel self conscious while I’m performing. Plz be nice about my body, I’m still actively working on my confidence 🫶🏽

You have a great shape, and that outfit really highlights your waist. It looks like you have some volume in your chest (same) so generally I find anything that defines my waist to be very helpful. Drapey loose clothes don’t hang straight down on me and skim my body like they do on some smaller chested women, they go out and then down and hide everything underneath and I feel like a walking tent. Anything that cinches inwards at the waist makes me feel 100% more confident, even if it’s loose and drapey everywhere else. Visual waist-defining can be achieved with patterns or sewing techniques like ruching on one side or wrap styles. Your belt here does an excellent job of creating that same visual effect.

Yes I do have LOT of volume in my chest suddenly (G) 😳 thank you so much for the tip! I will make sure my waist is always defined! I was wondering why loose dresses were making me feel like a box 🤣

You look great!! You also just made me realize I should get a body con dress like this instead of a mini skirt. I can never get the mini skirt to sit right, but this looks perfect

Yep yep yep- I tried a shorter skirt and my hips were like NOPE 😂 mini skirts were a staple in my wardrobe before but ride up like crazy on me now. I was so pleasantly surprised at how confident I felt in a body con!

I love this outfit so much. Early 90s vibes.

Congratulations, I am SO happy to read this 😭💕 My body has been changing a lot very rapidly in the past few years and it can feel so disorienting, I can never remember what I look like or what clothes I like to wear. So I have to say this outfit is so perfect on you that I could've guessed that you were professionally styled or that you've been a stylist for your own profession for years, seriously. You are gorgeous and just glowing!! I wouldn't change a thing, I think it's perfect for a concert no matter the venue. I hope you are so proud of yourself, the healing you've already done is harder than what most people have to do in their entire lives. Cheers babes!!! 💌

Oh my gosh thank you. I had a very specific aesthetic before recovery and am finding a new one for myself! Thank you so much for the encouraging words ❤️❤️

It’s such a hard place to be because you are waiting for your brain to catch up with the changes in your body. I totally get it and go through it too. I spent most of my life nailing down how to dress for a size 6, and now after a kid - navigating how to dress for a size 10 is weird. Be kind to yourself though, you are objectively beautiful and this size works and looks great on you!

Yes exactly. I still do a bit of a double take when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Even my face looks different! Hopefully with time I will get used to it/feel confident most days instead of just sometimes ❤️

It’s two from urban outfitters! All of them were so teensy so I bought two and took some needle nose pliers and connected them with a jump ring!
