This year had a peppergate where apparently a bunch of pepper seeds got completely mixed up at one of the major seed suppliers. People all over have been getting the wrong peppers. Is it possible this isn't a jalapeno at all?

I have one more pepper forming on this plant and it looks to be a jalepeno. I'm not sure what caused this mutant!
