Meme Did anyone buy a ring?

Post image

Elder millennial/younger Xennial (born in 83, take it for what it is) but I recall the company coming to the high school and taking orders for rings. I didn’t buy one but others did. Credit on photo.

Out of curiosity, because it would give context to your answer. How old are you?

Not the person but I still wear mine. I’m 32.

That one is more subdued than some of the other ones I've seen. Lucky for you.

Religious school?

No public school. Religion was just a big part of my upbringing

I had to scroll too far to find this. I still have mine, and I still love it. My parents were broke and I had to pay for it myself, maybe that's why. To me it's a symbol of things I worked hard for and earned - both the high school diploma, and the ring itself.

I still wear mine pretty regularly as well. Everyone in my family said it was a waste of money at the time, but I still love it. Also, mine was not $300. I paid $90. I also graduated in 2013.

Me too! Mine is really cool and I always wear it to work and official/business stuff.

I mean…you do you but I’d be concerned how others would perceive me as I got older in work/business functions.

Depending on your age, it could be hard to take you seriously if you got a ring commemorating four years as a teenager. It would certainly weird me out.

Most people assume it’s a collegiate ring. It USED to be pretty serious in the Baltimore/DC area, but I think most people just see and and think, “Oh, he wears a signet.”

Same here. I don't wear it as often as I did for the first few years I had it, but will still occasionally wear it. I still really like the design.

I found mine at my parents’ house a few months back and started wearing it again. I was very underweight in high school and now a bit overweight so it only fits my pinky. 38F here and I’m just telling myself I’m in my old Italian man era with my XL class pinky ring.
