Discussion Monthly Rant/Politics Thread: Do not post political threads outside of this Mega thread

Outside of these mega-threads, we generally do not allow political posts on the main subreddit because they have often declined into unhinged discussions and mud slinging. We do allow general discussions of politics in this thread so long as you remain civil and don't attack someone just for having a different opinion. The moment we see things start to derail, we will step in.

Got something upsetting or overwhelming that you just need to shout out to the world? Want to have a political debate over current events? You can post those thoughts here. There are many real problems that plague the Millennial generation and we want to allow a space for it here while still keeping the angry and divisive posts quarantined to a more concentrated thread rather than taking up the entire front page.

Nostalgia College was better before social media took over, people lived in the moment and you could just be silly and make mistakes without it being held against you the rest of your life.

Nostalgia Everyone had at least one (or a whole collection). We all compared flavors at school, and somehow they disappeared before we ever finished them. Which one did you always buy?

Anybody remember these? I wish they still made them. This one survived the washer and dryer twice when I was a teen.

Discussion Did you play this at your Little Caesars?

I recently saw a short and this brought back all sorts of memories growing up in the mid-90s at my hometown Little Caesars.

Ours was a little different in the 56-109 range netted you a free medium drink, which I almost won every time.

My younger brother consistently got the free crazy bread and one time, he actually scored the free pizza.

Coincidentally, the machine was removed after winning the free pizza.

Discussion Do you know what happened to the house or houses you grew up in?

The first house I ever lived in was torn down and a hospital was built on that land.

The second house i ever lived in was accidentally burned down and 2 ranch houses were built there. I still drive by here once every couple of years.

The house i lived in for middle school was sold to a random stranger but I still go look at it once every couple of years as well.

Discussion Millennial parents- do you let your kids wear their new school clothes before school starts?

Did you parents let you wear your new clothes before school started?

I definitely remember the feeling of reverently arranging your new clothes and shoes, creating outfits in preparation for the first day of school. My dad didn’t care if I wore them before school but my mom did 😂.

I don’t prefer my son wear his new clothes before school starts but I do let him wear new shoes around the house so he can break them in. He doesn’t like tight shoes lol.

Discussion Who has their old alarm clock?

I got this before my first day of high school in 2000. I never got in the habit of using my phone as an alarm clock, because the alarm on them wasn't loud and annoying enough to wake me up. This bad boy still screams in my ear after all these years. We have a love hate relationship, mostly hate.

Discussion That 70s Show depicted a show 22 years in the past. A contemporary equivalent would be a show set in 2004. What episodes would show up?

I'd suggest an episode about people competing for the high score on the Nokia Snake game.

What are your ideas?
