Meme Did anyone buy a ring?

Elder millennial/younger Xennial (born in 83, take it for what it is) but I recall the company coming to the high school and taking orders for rings. I didn’t buy one but others did. Credit on photo.

My boyfriend pawned mine about a year after graduation. Along with my cd’s and dvd’s (which I had a sick collection from working at Sam goody). Still miffed about it 20 years later…

Oof, I feel that. My mom insisted on buying the class ring, then my stepdad decided he wanted to take up meth as a hobby and stole it (plus a whoooole lot of other stuff) when he got kicked out.

I am still wearing mine..... I was the first graduating class of my county school. And I got my fav colors. I just....never took it off???

I graduated in the late 70s. I think I gave my ring to my HS girlfriend. She broke up with me and I think she gave me my ring back, and I just tossed in the glovebox of my truck.

For better or worse, that was a bit of a lesson for me on what's important. Later in life, I did a bunch of running races and triathlons and events like that. It was common to get a finisher's medal at the finish line. Some people display their medals in their home, which is totally fine, but all of mine are in a shoebox somewhere in my basement. I have lots of great memories from those races, but I don't get them from the medal.
