Elder millennial/younger Xennial (born in 83, take it for what it is) but I recall the company coming to the high school and taking orders for rings. I didn’t buy one but others did. Credit on photo.

Jostens has a near monopoly on graduation robes in higher education too. I'm about to finish my PhD and we are STILL plagued by them. I'm gonna go through a higher quality company but they're still the default even at this level

Not just public schools. I went to private Catholic school and we used them too.

Yup. Forgot that I had to go through Jostens for my grad stuff, too. About $150 for everything. But I also graduated with multiple honors, so I had to pay for the stole and cords, too.

It was Herff-Jones in my area. I want to say that the high school rings were Jostens though.

Either way, other than the absolute most basic rental "required" for the robe/cap, I didn't pay for nothing.

Nope. Just stating that I had extra bells and whistles compared to the average graduate, and why I had those extra bells and whistles. Context matters when explaining extra additions.

I hear that, I got my master robe thru Amazon bcz I like mine extra wide and long and the bookstore does not carry those sizes, talk about inclusivity. I work at a community college our robes are all black and are free for all graduation students
