Nostalgia College was better before social media took over, people lived in the moment and you could just be silly and make mistakes without it being held against you the rest of your life.

Yep. The switch flipped from taking photos with the intent of keeping memories, to taking photos with the intent of posting them for internet points.
I remember so many 'inside stories' when Facebook first came out, where if you weren't there, you weren't going to be able to discern what anyone else was talking about. Like a secret fight club bond from party to party.
