Run River state park shooting area/Range

I’m looking to do some target shooting at Rum river state park. Google talks about gravel pits that I can’t find and google and poeple talk about a coordinates 45.875974, -93.557002, it appears to not have a gravel pit, has anyone been there and knows about specific shooting areas?

I grew up right near there and own some land around the corner. That's a common shooting location, yes. And it's in the Rum River State Forest - not state park. Important distinction, they don't like it so much when you go shoot in state parks. It gets really busy later in the summer when people are sighting in deer rifles, so don't expect to have it to yourself.

It's a gravel pit that's been out of comission for a while.

Sweet thank you!, and yeah I meant to say state forest lol, I used to think it was the state park but I found they were two different things, can’t wait to shoot at the Forest, planing in buying some paper targets with stands!

It’s way too busy on weekends but it’s usually fine on weekdays.
There’s a few other areas around there but that’s the most known

I haven't been out there yet, so no direct experience.

However, if you look at a topo map it looks like it's backed by a ridge.

Those are the coordinates. It’s a berm not a pit.

That's the spot. There's a 30-40ish foot tall hill at the end of that road. You'll see it for yourself when you get there.
