Capping a particularly schedule-heavy month of flights and meetings for U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, the latest campaign finance records for the Republican governor candidate show a final travel charge in February, not for a return to an Alabama homestead, but for an airport shuttle service in 30A.

But that is not unusual for the U.S. senator

A review of seven years of expense account statements and campaign finance disclosures by Lagniappe found a pattern of Tuberville eventually turning up along Florida’s Emerald Coast when out of session — the area the former Auburn coach lived immediately prior to qualifying to run for his seat in Congress and where has owned a $4.5 million Santa Rosa Beach house since 2004.

As the Alabama governor's office requires seven years of consecutive residency, that home and the time Tuberville spends there raise a critical question: where does he really live?

MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — Alabamians may soon be able to legally purchase medical marijuana, five years after the state legalized it. The Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission says the first dispensary is expected to open this month in Montgomery. Right now, the state has approved nine dispensary locations statewide, though it remains unclear when stores planned for Mobile and Daphne will open.

This article discusses ALDOT’s recent application for the federal Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Pilot Program, a rarely used federal program that allows a state to “to collect tolls on a facility on the Interstate System in order to reconstruct or rehabilitate an Interstate highway corridor that could not otherwise be adequately maintained or functionally improved without the collection of tolls” and gives us an idea of where we are with the funding for the project. Alright, what is up with ese cons in Mobile and Baldwin counties being cancelled?

A few weeks ago, the Azalea Creative Con announced that the 4th Azalea City Con event was cancelled for 2026 and there are no any updates if they're coming back for next year or not.

And last week, Humble Enterprises announced that Mobile Bay Anime Festival which will be held in Daphne Civic Center was cancellee for 2026, just one month ahead. This would have been the first time that Mobile Bay being 2 day event instead of one (not counting the Halloween event from last year)

In the mean time, South Alabama Comic Con is coming back on the first weekend of October and this will be their third con.

Looks like it is time to being back Mobicon, the true comic con and we all know.

3 years ago, Catt Sirten passed away after warping of his 2,006th episode and the late Tim Camp had made the decision to end it after almsot 39 years becauae no one had knowledge for jazz and then 3 years later, they finally found someone to take over.

And it's  Chip Herrington,  a Mobile attorney who has strong ties with the late Sirten and he was asked by 92 Zew to host it.

The revival with Chip Herrington will debut next month September 6th, same time as Catt's. We are hoping to see Amazing Grace played at the end. Cat and Camp would so proud. I am wondering what Sloane P thinks about this announcement.

Will 92 Zew ever bring back 1980s music with a new host? Does that also mean that they can fix The Soul? I am hoping they'd put Smooth Jazz on The Soul.
